Rosas has one of the coolest voices , its slow and showcases every syllable I have a small man crush on the man's voice... Yes it is true.
When we lost Hinkie I was bummed but after a few days I thought, hey, we're okay, we still have Rosas! WTF!!! Les!! You are losing your entire upper management who knows what Morey does and assists him AND you in the Rockets having a competitive advantage! You are just going to let them walk to other teams and become GM's and take the players that they KNOW we are into???? WTF!!!! Pay these dudes double salary and keep them here! Man, I don't get this crap!
People need to calm down. Acquiring Harden and Dwight in less than 12 months has shut the league backbiters up. Owners have woken up and are looking to hire their own Dork Elvis, and the first place they would naturally look is the Rocket's front office. It was to be expected, and I'm sure that Morey and Les prepared for it. And you have to wonder if this could pave the way for acquiring Dirk down the road. Think of the board drama that would cause!
They're the front office. That's precisely why they're leaving now. As front offices go, they're allstars for what they've turned this team into from the Yao/McGrady injuries. Always take a new job when you are in the highest demand and can negotiate the highest salary.
I can't believe Morey didn't already do this. We could have traded Rosas and Hinkie for our third star player
Totally agree. Billy Beane has done it over and over again, to say Billy Beane did not succeed when just last year a bunch of no name players won their division over the Rangers and Angels is stupid and ignorant.
And what could the Rockets learn from spying on Cuban? How to dismantle a Championship team in just one off season?
While it is true what you say but Cuban knew it was a Not 2, Not 3, Not 4 perennial type of contender. They played well one season, but they were not built to contend for more than 2 years.
We should trade Gersson Rosas to Dallas for a first round draft pic, trade Hinkie to 76er for another draft
Just another sign of how conflicted that franchise has become. Nobody knows what direction they are taking other than the fact that they are trying to appease Dirk through the last years of his career. So, where are all those poster that just two years ago were talking about how great of an owner Cuban was, and how cheap Le$ was????? Give me the owner who doesn't go on depression spending sprees, and then hires someone else that can take the blame all day long. Make no mistake.... Rosas will take the blame at the end of the day, and his job & reputation will be on the line for Cubans misguided direction. I still think Cuban is a very good owner, but both his inability to step away and let people in his organization do their jobs without him butting in, his impatience to hold onto his assets, and his loyalty to Dirk are going to continue to keep that team from rebuilding the right way. Good for Houston though. However, I do wish that Rosas would have held out for another team where he could build his team the way he knows how to.
Dirk for Lin+Asik+Motiejunas and a future first rounder is far. Howard/Camby/Smith Nowitizki/Jones/Casspi Parsons/Garcia/Casspi Harden/Williams Beverly/Brooks
