Squat jumps, jump rope, calf raises, walk on your toes for your toes

Then work on your core, getting ripped abs and a ripped back can add around 12 inches to your vertical.

    If I was 6 1, I wonder if I could dunk.

At 5 8, and a few years younger, I could grab the rim. I think I could cleanly do 9 feet.

Would do plyometrics along with some strength shoes. Would probably hire a trainer to help out with it. Plyometrics are draining and take a tool on your legs and back. Need to make sure you are doing them correctly.

Why you wanna increase your verts breh? Just work on your intangibles and be an undervalued role player.

Jump as high as you can on your jump shot. The only way to jump higher is by jumping. You work out all the muscles you need to increase your vertical.

Bump. This was asked a while ago, and many of you have said to do squats/deadlifts, but because of my knock knees, i don't want to risk that, so i've just been doing isolation exercises.

Will doing these 5 things help increase my vertical noticeably, or just barely? ?
    -leg extensions
    -leg curls
    -calf raises
    -glute machine
    -lowering body fat %

And one more thing, are jumpsoles worth it? There are a used pair on ebay for like $30, and it retails for like $99, anybody know anybody who has used them? Apparently they add noticeable improvements to your vert.

    jumping is a compound exercise
so i dont see how isolation exercises are going to improve jumping a lot. jumping is using your entire body... and technique.

This. And add weight while you're doing it.

Vertical leap is just speed projected upwards; so just do whatever the track guys do and then direct the affected muscles, but vertically.

You ask all these questions about physical help ... Do you even do any of things these people give you advice for?

honestly (my opinion)... i doubt it or only goes through the motions.
most people have no idea how hard they have to work to get the results they want physically.
if he really wanted to jump higher/dunk he would have been searching google and known way more than this thread could have provided but w/e.

if the dude really has knock knees like he said he would work on correcting that before trying to jump higher. i dont see how you can run/jump to your max capabilities with a structural issue. and if he was really committed to correcting knock knees or w/e he would have been searching google for all the PT exercises to help that.

Knock knees will interfere with progress. That's why I keep telling you to go take care of that first. It's like asking how to strengthen your arms, so you can shoot from farther away, but you shoot with your elbow sticking out a lot and get no extension.
