How does this sound? Beverly is a better player compared to an injured Lin. Criticism needs to be based on facts. To me, it's never about whether you criticize a player's game or not. It's about whether we are mispresenting the facts or the numbers. And we should have a little decency right? I did run to Lin s defense when some one is mispresenting the fact to "criticize" him. Not because he is being criticized. I would have to disagree if you think these two are the same. On the other hand, I do know what an anonymous Internet forum is for... We are human afterall
So, to make a successful thread you need a name like BongDong, you need virtually no content other than Lins name in it, and you can disappear from the board entirely after making it. The result, you get an 8 page thread that will probably reach 10 pages in the next few hours. Seems legit.
So Lin was outplayed by machado? I was told to avoid using the phrase all, any, or every whenever possible. Or do you mean he was outplayed sometimes or all the times? I can see from your explanation that you meant sometimes. Is it too hard to Make one's statement more precise? No PG is perfect . Criticize anyone anyway you want. But be prepared to back it up with numbers or facts, not some EYE tests that no one can examine ( not referring to your post). If you think that is a tall order, then I guess we just need to live with our differences.
Lin is the best Asian player in the NBA. But that's about it. If he becomes fragile come playoff time as is the case in his track record so far, i propose he wear a bulletproof vest so the big guys can't bruise his fragile ribs during the playoffs. He should be proud for what he achieved so far, but if his body fails him during playoffs every year then he will considered a failure in my book.

You easily have 2, 3 or 4 times as many Lin praising/Mchale hating posts than you do DMo/Dream/Mchale/Celtics/post-up-game posts combined. If you know the game, watches damn near every game. Why do you need stats to prove your argument. Stats could be misleading sometimes. To get a great view on a player, shouldnt you go to the game and do an EYE test. Does Morey travel overseas all the time to watch certain players play. Stats are good but so is the EYE TEST.
The eye test is good, but stats are what's best. There are a lot of guys that using "the eye test" look to be pretty good. But when it's time to win, or make the small plays that go unnoticed they don't perform nearly as good as the other guys.
