Maybe if even a fraction of the outrage that was spent on the outcome of this trial , was spent on trying to curb violent acts committed by young black men , well maybe it could help black Americans change the reality that they are the most violent race in the US . People can cry about profiling all they wan't but there is a bit more to it than color alone but I guess it's much easier to ignore facts and play the blame game .

How many more people of all colors do you think start to profile young black men every time something like the killing of this 17 year old below . He was doing nothing more than sleeping or I guess you could say sleeping while white .

I agree that the energy spent on this case would best be used elsewhere, especially in certain individual communities but let's not act like it is ok to profile under any circumstances, that's just ignorant. If that's the case then people need to be cautious around family members and those individuals close to their family as those are people who are most likely to sexually assault, molest or rape their children if it happens.

I'm not trying to justify anything but people shouldn't make statements like " trayvon being killed simply for walking while black " without examining the real reason for a lot of profiling to take place .

Yes, 16% of white folks are murdered by someone of another race while 7% of black folks are murdered by someone of another race.

We can talk about white-on-white or intra-racial crime of various races, but the "OMG Whitey is out to murder little black children!!" is a ridiculous non-starter. Only 7% of murders in black community involve someone of another skin color.

 

And my post had nothing to do with white people murdering black people. It's this constant narrative that the media gets out there that black people are the most violent race in the USA and therefore it's alright to profile, stereotype, and hold a prejudice against them.

The numbers show, history show that no race is more violent then the next. It shows that humans as a whole are a violent little species in general.

 

Is that accurate?

 

Of course it's accurate. Why wouldn't it be?

I have no problem with a group holding a peaceful demonstration. I do have a problem with a group holding a demonstration blocking Highway 288. It is hazardous for them, those attempting to use the highway and the authorities trying to keep everybody safe.

Just because the Constitution provides a right to assemble and a right to free speech does not confer a right to do so in a perilous manner.

 

How about what I posted above?

 

Do you have a problem with this? A grandmother being grabbed for trying to get her grandaughter to the hospital.

All this over an out of control kid who decided to attack someone who was following him.
