I'd rather keep Lin than trade him straight up for Jennings. At least we know Lin is an extremely hard worker, and his hard work seems to translate to on-court productivity. Jennings seems like he expects to be a superstar by keep doing what he does lol. I just really wish we could get our hands on Illyasova. That might be worth swapping Lin for Jennings.
Jennings is still living off that 50 point game in his rookie year. Hasn't done anything since. Why are people so quick to trade Lin? His stock is low now after last season's "mediocre" numbers. Let him play the season, and boost that stock up because playing alongside Dwight is going to make him look a lot better.
We already have Canaan and Beverley. Both can be starting pg, both can shoot and cheaper than Jennings or even Lin
Jennings was that Dude his rookie year!! I wanted him since he played at Oakhill academy! Who wants to play and live in Milwaukee?? Lowry career was saved.. He don't have to be the man here just be the point dish dimes and hit the open shot! Of.course D up..
This! Btw I'm a so called "LOH" and I wouldn't trade Lin for Jennings, that's stupid. Some of you seem like y'all don't even watch basketball.
You trade Lin for Ersan, fits a need for both teams. However you might be able to get Jennings for a song with Milwaukee getting Lin so why not take him on for one year for the qualifying offer and make him a sixth man? If it doesn't work out then dump him. Think about it you get your perfect young, reasonably priced stretch 4, you still retain Asik, and still add a good talent in Jennings. As I said before look at NY with JR Smith a very similar situation to Jennings. Made him a sixth man and it worked out well. Jennings in a winning situation with better talent and a fun atmosphere in a contract year could provide some serious benefit. Once you're committed to trading Lin for Ersan a gamble on Jennings for a sixth man for one year isn't that big of a risk. Why not take that gamble if it only costs you Jones or Moti and maybe a pick?
I honestly think if the distribution of minutes are handled correctly we can keep our point guard core, unless we get a shot at Rondo. I think Lin should come off the bench and Bev should start, not that Beverly is necessarily better but he fits the 1st group more, Lin could be better used being the firepower off the bench in the 2nd group like a J.R, or a Jarrett Jack or Crawford. Their minutes should be split 50/50 with Lin getting a little time at the 2. We don't need Jennings, we need a true point guard and we have 2 off the different types already that are young and solid
LOL. Rhetorical much? Those are classic CF ABJ posts from people who only think and want black and white.
