I'll get this season started off by announcing, once again, that Bartolo Colon is available. He is in the final year of his contract and still has very good ratings in ERA and hits. I am looking primarily for a dominant MR or a solid SP prospect. I already have one offer so I would like to move him before free agency and at the very least before the season starts. If you are interested, let me know.
If anyone's first round draft pick is avail., holla at me. Although we'd ave to wait until the night of the draft.
The Kazu (aka Tomokazu Ohka) is available for prospect(s)...no specific position really...just a young un or two.
Here is the current trading block situation: The Youngins Dave Brain LF/CF Still young and good in hits, doubles, and walks Marcel Ruiz C GAAGB catcher who there is no room for ... 25 Mark Allison MR 26yrs old... good young releiver The Major Leaguers Roberto Lantigua C GGAFB Catcher that I have no need for anymore Ramon Santiago 2B/SS Switch hitting GAGG, Stole 38 bases last season, plays good defense Lino Garcia CF GAAFB , Good defensively, 30 SBs last season, has struck out only 25 times in last 1178 ABs... Bob File MR 8 in avoiding Runs, A in Duration, Pop culture Icon, DeanB's former employee Juan Moreno MR 10 in avoiding hits, Left Handed, Cheap Everyone on the team is availible for the right price...
Cards are looking to pretty much completely overhaul the starting rotation. The only starters I want to keep are Bud Smith and Chad Gray. Among those major leaguers available for these changes: SP Josef Mundo : AGBGB 1B Erubiel Durazo: AGBBA (final yr of contract) SP Maynard Tandy : GAAAA SP Kevin Weslowski : AGAGG And the prospects: 3B James Bannon: GAGFA / A range / ready for big leagues 3B Johnathan Replogle: GFAGA CF Bill Wiedeman: AAGGA C Albert Gonzalez: GAABB Some pretty good players available, meaning that I really want top notch starters for them. Raven, I may be interested in Kazu...name a price.
The following Yankees players are available. Giambi Jeter Sexson Kotsay Kendall Huff Alfonzo Spivey Hidalgo Cedeno Overbay Lee Nunez Hinch Rubio Romero Reitsma Sele Rodriguez Towers Mays Heilman
DuncanIdaho... I'd give you SP J.Mundo + a pretty good prospect for Reitsma and Rodriguez. The only guys off of my top prospect list I wouldn't do is probably Bosco...Kazushi would be tough to trade too though. However, any of the others, including Gonzalez and Bannon could work. I'm the Cardinals, btw.
I'm looking at dealing Gil Meche, 30 year old SP. AGGGG with a 6 in ERA. Makes about 5 mil per year. I'm just looking for a decent young prospect... I have too many major league players right now, so I'm looking for someone to stick in my minors. If you're interested, give me an offer.
Bill Hall is on the block. Good in hits and brilliant in homers, can play SS or 2B, and is making $4M through 2012. Would like another SS that has better defense and is average in hits/good in homers or good in hits/average in homers but has around an .800 OPS PLUS a dominant MR. If interested, let me know.
Interesting offer, Drew although Moreno is a little older than what I am looking for and Santiago's OPS is below .800. Let me see what other offers I get and get back to you.
Cardinals still have some pretty good young players available...looking for just young prospects, preferably SP's but not limited to. C A.Gonzalez : GAABB -- Should be ready by next year LF/CF B.Wiedeman : AAGGA 3B Johnathan Replogle : GFAGA -- B range 3B J.Bannon : GAGFA -- he's ready for big leagues, A range Only position lacking in the majors is MR, but relievers are too common to give up one of these guys straight up for, unless they are really dominant. In most cases I need at least a decent prospect too + MR. truth - I'll give you Bosco + Weideman for SP J.Ray, Greco and Eckstein.
Okay, thanks to a fire being lit under his ass, Bill Hall is now off the block as is Bartolo Colon. However, I just resigned Roy Hunt meaning that I have no room for Demarcus Avendano. Demarcus is an up and coming C who is rated in the top 100 prospects of the game and currently in AA with good in hits. I could package him along with Rios (good ratings, mediocre stats) for say a Juan Moreno, Drew. Or I could trade Demarcus to you straight up for File. Let me know if you are interested.
A couple good players available: G. Dunneback 26 SS Good Average Average C C D G. Loomis 27 SP Good Average Good Brilliant E Simply don't have room for them, looking for younger talent in A or AA or so.
The Giants have decided to tweak the roster Derek Lowe, Justin Speier, Adam Dunn, Pat Burrell, Nathan Dawley are all available. I want either major league ready top prospects, or comparable big league talent.
