I don't believe all the posts saying that he has nothing left in the tank. He played exceptionally for us before being permabenched by the Knicks. They didn't know what they had. He'd be similar to Dikembe in performance in his last few years with us.
I like Clutch's tweet about the Rockets not being satisfied with 48 minutes of defense so I propose if Rockets actually sign Camby that his new nickname become "Overtime". It suits him considering he's also playing in the league still at 40.
Camby is exactly what we need. A big defensive center who is happy to play 5-10mpg in the playoffs. Greg Smith is worse than awful defensively, and Camby would be a massive massive upgrade over him. Hopefully Smith has some trade value because he's young, and other teams value that and think he'll improve...
I do have a feeling though like a previous poster that if we do sign Camby that Asik is probably getting traded soon. It does seem strange to pursue him. Hopefully we get Aldridge out of it!
But do you think it's a good idea to give up a young smith for a 40 year old camby that might only be useful just one more season?

LOL. u think asik, greg smith, and low 1st round draft picks will land LMA? LMA has 2 full years left on his contract. maybe that package can work at the trade deadline during the 14-15 season, but definitely not now. the blazers have lopez at C now too maybe t jones, dmo, asik, and 2 first round draft picks. maybe. and yes both dmo and tjones
