Wasn't as bad as Armageddon. Worth the 5 bucks I paid just for entertainment value I guess. Plot was crap, dialogue was crap, cliches were everywhere, black guy dies, independent tough and talented white chick and white dude miraculously come up with solution to survive at the last possible second and are helped along by improbable fortuitous events.

doh, didn't notice the previous thread.

Armageddon was entertaining, but the dialogue in movies like that makes me cringe. They fail to obtain suspension of disbelief. Deep Impact was probaly the most plausible and best written disaster movie of recent years. It wasn't as exciting, but it was a better movie overall.

I agree about Deep impact for plot and character development...but for overall joy...I gotta go with Armageddon. Man some of the lines were GREAT! Funny, too.

Out of curiosity, were there alot of confused Aggies in the audience at this movie?

Bah. the Ben Affleck animal cracker scene was a rip off of a Seth Green scene in a 1997 episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer

If you liked Armageddon, how could anything look too cheesy?
