And how the hell was I supposed to know that? Just because it says "Replay up to 1 hour" right on the media player itself?

    :(

    Anyway, starts at around 8:17am

I don't want to sound like a negative-nelly but if they are still friends it's more
because SVG has really thick skin. We all know who got SVG fired in Orlando.
Regardless props to Morey for putting the spin on it!

Nope not only H2H matters. Here is what they did in the play-offs:

    BTW their play-off stats:

    Asik
    12.3 PPG
    11.2 RPG
    1.7 BPG

    Noah
    10.8 PPG
    9.8 RPG
    2.2 BPG

Would you like to compare their regular season stats too? We can do that and you will still be no more closer to proving your point which has zero validity.

Asik was every bit as good against the rest of the league as Noah. His play while actually watching the games backs it up, his stats back it up and his H2H against Noah was just the icing on the cake.

Dwight got SVG fired = true
SVG got thick skin = perhaps. I don't know.
They are friends now because of SVG = not true. It takes two to dance. No matter how thick your skin is, you can't be friend with someone who isn't receptive. Give DH a little credit here.

Really? Lopez is one of the worst defensive centers in the league while Asik is elite on the defensive end. Asik is among the 3 or 4 absolute best defensive centers in the game. He is among the 2 or 3 absolute best defensive rebounders in the whole game. Lopez is affraid of rebounds at times.

Yes, Lopez is superior to Asik on the offensive end but he is not even in the same galaxy as Asik on Defense.

And that is absolutely zero reason to average 7.8 rebounds a games. Gasol is a below average rebounder with or with out Zebo on the floor.

Yeah, lets look at their regular season stats:

    Noah: 11.9 Pts 11.1 rebs 4 asts 2.1 blks 1.2 stls 48% 75 ft% 2.7to 37mins
    Asik: 10.1pts 11.7rebs 0.9asts 1.1blks 0.6stls 54% 56ft% 2.1to 30mins

Noah has slightly better stats across the board. Asik gets less minutes and is a more productive rebounder but he isn't as good defensively. Noah is also a much better free throw shooter.

Lets not forget that, Houston had THE fastest pace while the Bulls play at one of the slowest.

Brook is in the top 10 in block shots while Asik is 28th. I still put Asik slightly better in that department. But rebounding, Asik got him beat big time.

Yeah, Asik is an elite rebounder.

I said he was a better rebounder than Lopez. But answer me this why is Lopez top 10 in block shots and Asik 28th. Lopez does play defense, you would know this if you actually watch the Nets play.

Suuuuuure..... Maybe within your standards, regardless of whether he has a rebounding vacuum cleaner playing beside him or not, he has to net at least 10 rebounds a game to at least be classified an "average" 7 foot rebounder, but well, it is only your subjective standards anyway.

Also, I am sure we are all calling Nash a poor / average PG after his assists dropped to 6 p/g when he started playing next to ball-dominant Kobe, but as per your logic, there was absolutely zero reason for him not to average at least 8 or 9 assists p/g anyway.

And finally, well, thank god this thread is not about some dude named Jeremy Lin and how he is a below average and grossly overpaid PG since there is absolutely zero reason for him not to average more then 6 assists despite the ball not being in his hands most of the time and the fact that he has to play spot-up shooter in order to fit well next to a ball-dominant shooting guard.... wait, let's not go there, so ignore this paragraph....

So you're saying Morey's advance stats tell him the biggest contributors to the Rockets last season was...

    1) Harden
    2) Asik
    3) Lin
    4) Parsons

Did Morey say anything about Beverley? It surprises me that Lin had a better season than Parsons and Beverley. If its a choice between Morey and people's opinions on the GARM, In Morey I Trust!

You are absolutely right, it takes two to tango. I just think it takes a bigger effort from SVG
be friends with Dwight than vice versa. If you got me fired from my job I'm not sure that I
would want you as a friend, but maybe that's a personal flaw of mine. Regardless kudos to
BOTH if they were able to mend their relationship!

    (p.s) I consider you a brah!

Lin played a full season. Beverley played less than half a season. By what Morey has said on a couple of different occasions, it sounded like Parsons was very close to Lin in wins above replacement. I would expect Lin, Parsons, and Beverley to all be closely ranked on a per possession basis.

I also think Asik is ranked much closer to Harden in Morey's eyes than people realize. Clutch has said he can't see the Rockets letting Asik hit free agency. I expect if the Rockets trade Asik, they will either ask for a star player or a deal better than the Toronto pick, Dallas pick, Lamb, Martin, and the 2nd round pick.

Howard, Harden, Motiejunas, and Jones are the only significant contracts that Rockets have when Asik's contract runs out. LMA can be a free agent when Asik's contract runs out.

Those of us that watched every Rockets game know Asik was a beast last year and performed on par or even better than some of the top 5 c's. He won the match up against chandler and noah imho, was really close against gasol and howard, but he had some trouble with Hibbert. Regardless, he dominated, matched, or only fell short slightly against the top 5 bigs.

Im happy we got dwight, but asik is no scrub. Bspn tnt and national media tend not to give enough props to the small name players in "small markets" like houston according to shaq.

He says we didn't build through the draft, but we wouldn't have had anything to trade if we didn't draft and develop our players reasonably well.
