Would it be a slap in the face to trade Parsons to land that 3rd star?

Tell Parson to go test the market and let all the other teams know that we will match up to ONE BILLION dollars!

How will a team develop chemistry, if every 2 months someone on the squad is traded? Look at the Heat and Spurs, they have not traded thier starting line-up in 2 years.

parsons needs to be traded high, after this year his stock will be as highest ever, he comes cheap right now.

imo parson is a waiting time bomb for injuries, hes too frail and will get injured. hes good with the style that we play

morey was desperate last year ans signed lin, then harden fell in his lap........how much luck is involved in getting howard and how much strategy? Now Lin is a BIG liability......

I know one thing if Parsons hits the market teams will overpay for him. Anyone is tradeable and if Parsons wants to seriously get paid Morey will do what he does best. Dwight and Harden are the only keys to the franchise as per Morey and if they want a third star Parsons will be moved that's the reality.

Parsons is a great all-round player, why would he care if the Rockets got stronger by getting a third star

Why is this, with all due respect, stupid post in this thread? Do you like derailing trains as a hobby?

I dont want to derail anything, just dont want the abacus to get som much credit........especially Lin was such a big mistake and if nothing happens after Lin we would be asking for his head.

He is liked by all these reporters because hes "in" with those guys, they would love to be where he is.....hes a good GM, but even he accepts that he got lucky......check i.e. PTI interview.

Yet you are doing your best to do just that. I'd hate to see you actually try.

Asik + Parsons is overpaying for a player like Aldridge (27 yo, 2 years left on contract, no hope on earth of staying, can sign as free agent in 2 years time anyway), that's why Chicago scoffed at the idea of either Noah or Butler, in both cases we'd actually lose more games than we win, especially if you factor in additional talent of other kids and picks thrown in.

Aldridge is a top 25 player, but that's all he is, a top 20-25 player, 1 all nba, 1 all star selection by 27, not saying he wouldn't fit well, he would, but that's the kind of talent you give up for one of those top 10 guys when they're about to jump ship.

the thing with Parsons is, his salary is so low, so you would have to add a lot to any trade he is involved in

I don't see this happening unless it's a true all star caliber player, under the age of 30, who fits VERY well with our roster.

Parsons takes another step forward he has a chance to sniff the all star game, and I guarantee he's paid less than ANYBODY we would even consider trading him for.

We know nothing about what Morey attempted or not. Do not act like u have a crystal ball. You do not.

what exactly are you talking about? I'm just saying it's logical to assume Morey didn't ship Asik immediately for Smith or Anderson because he knew if he is patient, a nicer piece could arise.

what move did i claim Morey attempted? If it's shopping asik/lin, then that is a fact. Anyways, lets not derail the thread.

    We traded OT for Clyde.

If we are getting Lebron or Durant, I'd do it

Who cares?... players like parsons come and go, if we have a chance at LMA OR LOVE, and Asik and Parsons are the ppl that need to go, then go they will, while Harden and DH12 will be 100% behind the decision. This is about winning, there isnt any loyalty in the this BUSINESS, atleast not anymore.

    Not at the moment.

Even at the feb trade deadline I think Morey would refuse. If Portland were really interested in young good value assets for their rebuild then Morey may offer Beverley instead at that time: Asik, Beverley, G.Smith for Aldridge.

There is a possibility Parsons numbers go down to under 10 points a game this year with Dwight in the line-up. If Parsons plays badly and Portland still interested, then next Summer could see a trade.

My heart says don't trade Parsons but my head says Asik, Parsons, Smith for Aldridge or Love is a deal we should make.
