Throwing out sentences like the bolded one make it sound like you joined organized basketball a week ago and just had your first practice. Drive and dish= finding the open big open very close to the basket? I think you don't know anything about basketball or the terms you throw out.

And why are you capitalizing "ABSOLUTELY" elimate all opportunities? Where did anyone say that it will eliminate all opportunities to attack?

I neither said that my idea of spacing is the only way to play basketball, I didn't even go into detail about it. Seems like you can only think in black or white.

People that say that playing Asik and Howard together wouldn't work because of spacing have short memories. Remember Yao's sophomore season, when we started Kelvin Cato at PF? That dude made Asik look like Tim Duncan. Yet somehow, even with Cato playing the 4 next to Yao, Francis and Mobley found enough space to get into the paint. I guarantee you that Asik can hit learn to his a 15-footer better than Cato.

Dude alot a people are making fun of your post, b/c I guess it's cool to be cynical, but I would like to see him tried out at the 4 every now and again. Who cares if he has played at center for his whole career - so now he is typecasted as a center-only and an alternative can't be tried? Think outside of the box people. I recall when Olajuwon was training him (via a YouTube video), he said when you're a few feet a away from the block(paraphrasing) and facing the basket you're a power forward and when you have your back to the basket and closer to the block you're a center - this is when Olajuwon was showing him some of his spin moves. I think it's worth a look. Dude has the speed and quickness; just needs to work on free throws. Also, this way, Asik could still start a center and he could then rescind his demand to be traded ;)

    Thank you!

Actually for starters they only have to learn the bank shot.

One of the reliable weapons in the arsenals of big men Tim Duncan and Zach Randolph, it's a high percentage shot once learned.

It's simple enough that I'm sure the big guys can pick it.

My bad, I don't know how to embed videos.

Here's for your education Mr. Veteran Expert, on the drive and dish. I don't understand what you found wrong with "Drive and dish= finding the open big very close to the basket".

I don't see why we can't run that play.

I'll spell it out for you. (E.g.) Any of Lin-Harden-Parsons "driving and drawing the defender" of either Asik or Howard, and then "dishing" to the open Asik or Howard near the basket.

Care to explain how I'm "just like I joined organized basketball a week ago and had my first practice" because I said the above Mr. Veteran Expert?

(If anybody can teach me how to embed videos, greatly appreciate it. It's not in the FAQ)
