Kinda sad when you have the first two replies to your own thread. Settle down dude. There is no need to start all these threads about your Magic.

Yeah, what's with all the Orlando trades? They're still gonna go out in early in the playoffs. Someone get T-Mac some help...

Don't forget about Caron Butler. Hes been playing really well of late and maybe more deserving of that 3 spot.

Here's an idea: go jock the Magic on a Magic message board! Try one of these:

    http://citadel6.ezboard.com/forlandomagicfrm1
    http://forums.delphiforums.com/magicjam/
    http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewforum.php?forum=25&14163

Maybe at these boards people won't laugh at you for declaring Yao, Stoudemire, and Butler undeserving of ROY over Drew Gooden.

Ya know I'm a Magic fan too, but I'm gonna be realistic here. There's NO CHANCE IN HELL that Gooden's gonna get ROY. He's been injured the past four games and before his injury he was beginning to fade. In fact over that same time period, Giricek has really been playing fantastic ball and could even be considered a better ROY candidate than Gooden right now. It doesn't matter though since I expect Gooden to be an all star for years to come.

As for my ROY list it would have to be:

    1. Yao - The guy's an incredible player and human being, so I think he deserves it, he needs to get out of this recent little funk although.

    2. Butler - Yes, I put him ahead of Amare because he's been pretty consistent all season and I might even put him ahead of Yao if the Heat didn't have such a crappy record.

    3. Amare - Best high school to pro player rookie that I've seen in a long time. His play has kinda tapered off lately, but he's still gonna be a great player in the same mold as a young Shawn Kemp.

    4. Gooden - Perfect player for Orlando and a bona-fide all star if he continues to improve. Did I mention that we ripped off Jerry West and the Grizzlies.

    5. Nene - Haven't really seen him play that much, but from what I 've heard he's a stud. Who knows maybe he'll be the best player to come out of this year's rookie class down the road.

I've seen this guy play a bunch, and I like what I see. There are a few issues, though. The guy is 6-11, 260 pounds with crazy athleticism, yet he only gets 6 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 28 minutes per game. To me, he could do a lot better than that on a team that ain't overflowing with rebounders. The other strange thing is that he's 10th in the entire league in steals per 48 minutes, and he had gotten as high as 4th earlier in the season.

Still, I've said from the beginning that this guy has the most upside of anyone in the draft besides Yao, and that hasn't changed yet. It's looking like Giricek might be overtaking him this year, though...

Okay, I'll quit rambling. If anybody actually wants more rambling, just read my latest column at http://www.wisportszone.com/rreport1.htm. :D

Speaking of which, I should get off my lazy ass and write another one...

This is why Drew Gooden should be Rookie of the Year? Some neat little picture of him laying it up on not one but two Denver Nuggets?

Agreed on the rebounding numbers. I think it'll go up also when he stops getting in so much foul trouble.

It's incredible. I love watching him play. He's a lot like Yao in that they both are incredibly intelligent when it comes to the game. Nene's also a hell of a passer too.

Speaking of good passers, I think Skita might be the best passer on the Nugs. That doesn't say a lot for our PG's, but I've really been impressed with his court vision. Now if he can just get his frogish jump shot to fall, life would be good.

At least you can take comfort in the fact that Dirk wasn't that great in his rookie year. Then again, Dirk shot 40%, not 29%...

Skita is easily a better passer though, as well as a better ball handler. I think of him as the more "guard-oriented" version of Nowitzki. If you guys could get Lebron or Darko, you could be pretty damn scary in future.

Watching Skita, in my opinion, it's pretty obvious that his main issue right now is confidence. Earlier this season, he didn't have great stats, but he made some spectacular plays. Since he's lost his confidence, it's gotten a little worse. Someone suggested to toughen him up, we send him to Rucker Park to play pick-up ball this summer.
