Came across this footage on the web of Chicago's young stars: Derrick Rose and Patrick Beverley. The two went to rival high schools in Chicago and faced off many times in high school. This video just makes me like Beverley even more as our Pg of the future. He goes toe to toe with one of the best Guards in the NBA in Derrick Rose. He is a gamer now and was one in HS as well. Check out the highlights of the two going off in a great high school game. Beverley got the best of D Rose in an earlier game, outscoring him, but D Rose's team got the win in this rematch. I agree. He's a hustle guy with mediocre point guard skills, little ability to create his own shot, but the ability to knock down the open 3 pointer. Great bench player for his energy and defense, but I don't see him as a starter in the NBA. If you want to contrast him with Lin, yes, he's a better defender than Jeremy and possibly a better 3P shooter, but Lin has much better court vision and is much better at finding his own shot or creating offense for others.

It's kind of pathetic that anytime Beverley gets brought up Lin fans feel the need to tear him down, then still like to try and claim they are Rocket fans.
