That's because you're a homer. Boston would never take Asik/Parsons for the triple double machine known as Rondo.

Rondo is a great rebounder, can create shots for others, among the top in steals! Has a ring and experience once it comes playoff time, and is a fierce competitor.

    GET ER DONE MOREY!!!!

Given that we were a bunch better offensive team than defensive, it seems Rondo would be a great acquisition. But having Dwight and Rondo as your starters along with who knows at PF, you have possibly 3 starters that can't shoot.

I'm curious how much Morey truly values good shooting and where he's willing to draw the line in terms of getting a player like Rondo. At what point statistically is it not worth getting a great defender/rebounding/passing/athletic/effort player because he can't shoot? I wonder if Morey has a magic number for this.

Herp derp! We got a perimeter ball handler and a post star center who needs the remaining touches and you want us to get a headcase PG coming off a serious injury who already drove a teammate and coach out of town? I would rather have Lin for this team than Rondo. Is/Was Rondo a great PG? Yes, but he needs the right team. Basketball is not always about grabbing the best players available, especially when you already have 2 of the best players in the league. We have our 2 main stars. At this point in time, we are looking for an almost-star 4 or star 4 who is willing to take a backseat and can ideally extend his range to the 3PT line. I am still hoping for the pipe dream that is Love.

Nice one. Unfortunately with Kahn out and Saunders in, seems like Love is staying put......

Prediction: Rondo WILL be a Rocket by trade deadline.

For all the haters out there.

    Forget Chris Paul
    Forget Conley
Forget any PG in this league when it's playoff time.

Rondo is the best fit for this team, and would make Houston one of the top 3 defensive teams in the NBA.

He's a championship caliber PG with a winning pedigree. The guy needs to be a Houston Rocket.

His playoff performances have been the best out of any PG since Magic Johnson, period. So what he can't shoot( The Rockets have 5 legit 3 shooters on the team, Rondo doesn't need to shoot)

    Lin/Asik for Rondo/Green and let's go get a ring.

Really tempted with this idea... but would chemistry/ego be an issue?

Other than that.. contender right there.

Rondo might be the worst possible fit for this team. Next.

Please... if Nelson can make Dwight fly, Rondo would truly make him superman.

I think people have quickly forgotten what Rondo did with KG in the pick n rolls, and people forgotten how Rondo has straight up made pg's look like idiots when he was healthy when the playoffs rolled around.

Rondo is tough as nails and can d-up bigger 2 guards.

We need someone who can take on Hardens man night in and night out on defense if the situations arise so Harden doesn't get jelly legs on the Rockets late in the season again.

Rondo on the Rockets would be instant title contenders THIS season.

Someone needs to pull the trigger, and quickly

    I Agreed 100%.

The way we are composed of has many flaws. Two of the most deficiencies are our two anchors are flawed.

We have a great shooting guard who insists on being a high TO play maker. We also have a great dunker who refuse to do PnR.

Rondo may have a lot of personality issues, but he will insists on Harden being a finisher rather than an initiator. He will also insists on Howard utilize its best asset by using PnR.

This is not just a simple addition. It is also have multiplication effect.

Wow u really don't know anything about basketball. Rondo is the absolute worst possible fit for this team. He can't shoot to save his life. We need a point guard who can shoot.

Rondo becomes a much better fit with a a lineup of

    Howard
    Green
    Parsons
    Harden
    Rondo

    Just my opinion.

The Rockets do not need a PG that can shoot...

The Rockets needs the toughest, rebounding PG in the NBA taking those contact drives for Harden so Harden can save his strength in the ass-end of the season. Pull the trigger and this team is defeating the heat in the NBA Finals

I don't think people are arguing he's not a great player. Just not a great fit and to me he tends to lose interest in the regular season.
