While the special effects were excellent the story line is about if not almost the same as Armageddon, I thought it could have used a little bit more disasters in the flick but the beginning makes up for some of that tragedy. No spoilers C-
i remember when we saw previews for it my friend said "that's just armageddon in reverse." apparently that quote fit nicely. even so, part of me still wants to see it. i'm a sucker for special effects.
About a month ago, my supervisor at work was talking about this movie. All he said that it was a disaster movie where they have to overcome some tragedy from the core of the earth. Then i said "so what, they have to hire some oil drillers to save the earth again", and he said "exactly, that, hacker, and few other people". I almost fell to the floor laughing. Damn these movies are soo damn predictable, the trailer is basically the movie.
Actually Mulder yes I saw it Tuesday before it was released. I see alot of screeners all the time. They could have easily titled this Armageddon 2 and got away with it
Disaster movies would be a whole lot better if they just took out all of the dialogue and character development. Just have like a half hour long highlight reel of **** blowing up. It'd do wonders for the old Godzilla flicks too.
