This assistant coach bench his star players way too frequently. He also surrenders too quickly when the Rox has shown they can come back with even bigger deficit.

He just doesn't understand how to use a finess center like Yao. He probably likes Center like Shaq that can just physically dunk over people. I think that's why he bench Yao when he perceive that Yao is not being "Aggressive", wtf, you don't need to throw punches to show you're aggressive, you don't need to take out your opponent's arm to show you're aggressive. You don't have to knock your teeth out to prove you're aggressive. A beautiful soft hook shot would do.

    This guy SUCKS.

Posted in the game thread but that thread is dying.
    report here:

If Larry forces Yao to play ISO game and shot one on one, then Larry is stupid. Yao is a team player. He screens, he passes, he helps out, he takes open shots, he only dunks when he should. ISO is the game the rest of the Rockets including Larry are good at. ISO is not Yao's game. If you force him to be ISO, or in you guys words be strong, be physical, or in my word be stupid, then he will have to settle with fadeaways and shot 1/9 or 2/12. He is not shaq, he has not shaq's body and strength.

You cannot say 'you are 7'5", so you should be under the basket.' He is not as strong as shaq, it is just a fact, not his willingness. He should work on his strength but he does not have it now. You cannot force him mentally and magically, his muscle grows 100% more. Larry is an idiot.

As I said, if you don't know how to use him, trade him for someone you know how to use.

It's the coach or coaching style. It's the game planes that destroyed Yao's touches. He should not shot in those situation but he was forced to shot.

Just because I don't know Larry Smith's complete background doesn't mean I'm not a rockets fan. I know he was an assistant at Golden State for 10 years before he came to houston. Your past doesn't make any sense and is severely lacking of any substance.

    Try again.

He's way better than Rudy or any coach rox have ever had. It takes more than a few games before you you can judge. However rudy has been judged and that's by missing the playoffs 3 years in a row. Give it one year and he'll have this team in the playoffs.

I love the way Larry Smith doesnt take any lip from the players.
He gets in their face and lets them no they screwed up. These guys need that kind of coach. I dont think it fair to hold Larryry responsible for the poor offensive system. He cant change the whole game plan during the last month of the season when the guys are fighting for a playoff spot. I was critical of Larry Smith at first but thats just cause i was reacting blindly and didnt give it much thought, basically I really didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Now that I've thought about it, I feel like Larry is doing a good job. The players will decide whether or not this team makes the playoffs this year, not Larry Smith.

Why don't we let Rockets play without a coach. If they lose, nobody can be blamed.

Mr M..n just kill the sprit of our team.
Only thing he want: give up.

We have to fight, we need playoff. He just no clue how to use everybody in this team. So he should be fired now, right now.
