yeah good luck with that...no matter how many times we tell folks that it is the CAP HIT that is important to teams, they still keep repeating the whole 15M thing. Same deal with the ones that continue to call the Arenas contract that Lin/Asik got "poison pill contracts". Poison pill contracts are TOTALLY different than ones signed under the Arenas provision.
With all due respect, you are one strange dude to honestly believe all that, and I'm a fan of Jeremy's.
Of course, Morey can trade ANYONE ANYTIME if the right deal comes along. I'm just saying Morey knows it'll be very difficult to trade Lin after this season with his poison pill contract and he's decided to hold on to him because he believes he could become a very special player at the PG, a player we could make a championship run with. NOT as some have suggested that he is waiting for his trade value to go up. Morey has said there are two options from here to chase a championship... 1) We can go after a third star 2) Hope one of our prospects develops into a star At the moment, he is opting for option 2. That is not to say that if the opportunity arises to get a third star like LeBron he won't switch tacks. I only say he is all in on Lin and not on T-Jones and D-Mo is because of Lin's poison pill contract. T-Jones and D-Mo are expiring this year. Morey is waiting to seevifbone of them can emerge as a starter. Even then, they could be traded at the deadline when their expiring deals are at maximum value. Asik + T-Jones + D-Mo + picks for LMA? Lin is the opposite, the longer he goes into his contract the less attractive a trade piece he is because of the poison pill final year.

I think everyone knows Lin's contract situation. My point is the final year $15m balloon payment means Lin is a more unattractive trade prospect to cash strapped small city teams that are already losing money whatever their cap situation regarding Lin's 8.3m cap hit.
Which PROVES that Jeremy has gone into hiding due to fear of being traded, and other stuff that I forget. ;-)-
Haha... Jeremy pulling a Jrue Holiday - can't get traded without physically attending a physical Go marry someone, Jeremy
Pretty looks like it. Happen on same weekend as Dwight Howard's workout. I like Jeremy Lin and I hope he stays.
Of course not. If someone snubs you and doesn't invite you to a party, you don't stay home and cry. You get all dolled up and fly to the same city and show up at a better party.
That's an interesting thought. Imagine if at the Rocket's preseason games in Taiwan and Phillipines(?), Lin decides to play at a stadium across town. Would the sold out crowd stay to watch the game or empty out and go across town? Would fruit be thrown? When are the preseason games scheduled? Hope Lin is still on the team.
Bottom line is JLin needs to play more consistently and shoot with a better percentage if he wants to stick with the Rockets or in the NBA. Can't worry about the FO's plans. We have suddenly turned from young and upcoming to looking to contend. I say we'll give both Lin and Asik up to next year's trade deadline to see how all the pieces fit. Everyone's gotta work to improve and not rely on past performances.
The Rockets will be fine even if they trade Lin before the pre-season game. The Bucks did the same thing to Yi.
