Second round picks aren't subject to a salary scale other than the minimum. So they are typically signed for as low as possible unless they're a euro star who wouldn't come over otherwise.
Rookie minimum is 490,180. I imagined they scraped together some more for him, gave him fully guaranteed for first year and a partial for second.
How does Morey do it? We only had $570k and he still got him to take it and even give us the third year option. I think he will get some minutes this year. And next year he will push somebody out. We are basically set. Assuming we keep Covington, we have one spot left but I think Morey keeps that open and waits to see if anyone else becomes available.
Where did they scrape it from. The only money to get is from Howard, unless Harden agrees to take less.
Probably 570k a year, or what's left after giving the max to Howard. I guess the lack of the 4th year team option is the trade off we made for the lower salary... That 4th year could have been key. Oh well. Guess not everything will go your way. :/
