Is morey patting himself too much on the back right now? They have Howard but scrub support won't win you a championship. He's letting iguodala and josh smith slip already. They need a 3rd star in order to challenge the big 3 teams in the nba.

after 4 yrs and being 27?

well Dwight said the average life span of an NBA player was 3 yrs. Fair enough.

Another left hander! Notice on a lot of his (lefties') shots, the defenders' primary instinct is to try to block the shot on the shooters' right arm. Advantage, lefty

This is Morey being Morey. Designated shooters off the bench are like middle relievers in baseball. There's a few really good ones that will make a ton of money (see, Reddick, JJ and Korver, Kyle), but every year there will be several guys out of relative obscurity that have excellent seasons shooting the ball playing for the league minimum.

I'd rather sign half a dozen Reggie Williams and hope that one sticks than pay Chris Copeland on a multi-year deal. Or give Novak the 4 years, 15 mill that he got.

Reggie Williams is a decent backup, so I don't mind the pickup. I remember his stint as a brief starter for the Bobcats.

Well said. I'm glad Novak got his money but there are few teams that he works on even shooting as good as he does. You have to start with a good center. hey Novak might work for us.

Isn't he fourth in depth? We have Garcia and Asik off the bench to spell positions 2-5. Bev backs up Lin. We got TJones and D-Mo interchangeable at 4 when we don't have Garcia and Parsons rotating to that position. As third string you have Casspi and Smith. Finally you have Williams at the very bottom who is there to help if bodies stop dropping. The guy makes the vet min. It's a totally high reward low risk move. Could it not pan out? Absolutely but who cares? Waive, trade, or keep until the end of the season or if he goes off, add him as trade asset.

I don't get this signing. Maybe he will help out on defense or something.
