Yao's got so much of this excuse shi*t going on. He thinks he's playing chess. Sports is about agressiveness, attitude and putting the ball down. He's always thinking he can outsmart everybody, it might work in China with a bunch of wusses but not in the US where you have convicted rapists on the court with you.

Nobody is interested in Yao's chinese interviews anymore!

Wow, Yao is brilliant, if you know how to read Chinese, then you will agreed with me. After I read what he had said about the game against Shaq, I was not mad at all, in fact, I was happy. If there's a good Chinese-English translator in here, pleased translate this, so everyone could see it.
Just a little fact about Yao in CBA:
First year, he only average about 10 points per game.
Second year, he average about 15
After 3 years, he average more then 30 points per game, and win the championship.
Now, you have a clue where he will end up in a few years.
Anyway, I really wish someone translate this, so everyone could see what Yao said, I would do it, but, my Chinese and English sucks.

That Yang Yi guy is kinda full of crap.

Yao Ming just showed some frustration after getting his ass kicked by the best center in NBA. And Yang Ji just added all those BS comments to make Yao sound like a hero (before he becomes a hero) in a martial-arts novel.

Nothing new. He said: I dont want to talk about it. I am depressed, I don't want to say.

Well, obviously Mr. Mean took his game out and force him to bully Shaq. He failed as expect. Yao is not Mr. Mean, he use his brain during a game. Well, I guess Mr. Mean want to make a Mr. Mean out of Yao. It won't work. Trade him!

There are thing you just cannot talk about. Well, then ask they to trade you next season, stupid Yao!

Coach Smith prefers physical players. Yao is not the type. Rox should either find a new coach or trade Yao for some players that fit coach's style.

How many teams want non-physical centers?

Here's a hint: if Yao is ever going to be a great player, he will have to be more physical. And if he's not, no team will want him.

At least, I do not think you want to be physical with Shaq. Mr. Mean ordered Yao to go inside to play physical game with Shaq, which of course took away Yao's strenth. Yao says it is totally OK to let Shaq and Kobe to score 70 combined (1 on 1). All we need to do is to utilize our outside game(because of Shaq) to kill the lakers. But stupid Mr. Mean went the other way.

He is always going to be a finesse player. He is the new breed of Center. Shaq is the last of the old breed. The Future big time teams will have three dominent scorers and all will be finesse players. The Rules of the Game will become less a physical struggle with thinking strategy and tecnique taking over as the pathways to success.IMHO

Everyone knows Yao should be more aggresive. No one denies that, including Yao himself. (And definitely he needs some time to improve) BUT it is not wrong that Yao thinks he can play smarter and in some other way while facing Shaq because you can't be stronger than this monster.

In my impression, it is the first time that I read Yao talk about coaching with doubt. Actually he said nothing really, but the implication is he disagrees with the strategy he is asked to do with Shaq.

Ok, more communication, man. And more energy and confidence. Expect your next game much better!

You do not have to. Look at Yao's face in last two games, he is totally frustrated and out of rythem.

Not gonna happen. Yao is much to slow to be a finesse guy. If your going to play the perimeter and away from the basket you got to be quick on your feet and have a pretty quick release on your shot. Yao is too slow on his feet and his shot release is too long for him to be finesse guy. Yao is just going to have to suck it up and play more physical and closer to the basket. But alot of that will depend on his teammates passing him the ball that split second he flashes into good position. Right now I dont see his teammates setting him up like they should. All I see is that same play where he isolates mid-high on the left block and his teammates clear out of his way and stand around. Thats a terrible way to utilize Yao. its so unimaginative its not funny. But it boils down to this, Yao is just going to have to get mean and maybe get on some of his teammates and coaches bad side and demand the ball when he is open on the court -- the hundred other times he is open away from that mechanical spot the coaches have him set up in when that play is called for him.
