L.A has to be the most butt hurt city in the world. Local LA radio station 106 has too much time on their hands. Power 106 dedicated a full hour to Dwight Howard in a so-called farewell (Diss). I feel Dwight is going to be super motivated this season. http://m.soundcloud.com/iamjustincredible/dwightcoward-full-mix

I didn't care much about the Rockets Lakers rivalry before, but beating them in the Howard sweepstakes + witnessing all the butthurt unfold is giving me a taste for it. Now I want LA not just to lose this year, but to suffer many years and have a prolonged and obstacle-laden path back to any kind of respectability. It's just been so enjoyable, this past week!

I starting watching basketball in the 90's, so even the Texas rivalries I don't care much about. To me it will always be Jazz #1 and Sonics/whichever team ends up hiring George Karl #2 on my most hated list.

I actually still can't believe it...that he chose less financial security and the city of Houston over the Lakers. It was clearly a move that demonstrated Dwight's desire to win. I too think he'll be motivated this year. NBA watch out!

Has Dwight said anything since FA started?

His maturity has always been in question, but despite all the pot shots being thrown at him, I haven't noticed any headlines of him firing back.

I don't remember much, but I don't think Houston was this bad when Quitten laid an egg in the playoffs and then left soon after. We (me personally) just wished him ill and moved on.

If there was Twitter then, and a player attacked his own teammate saying calling him a "fat butt", I'm pretty sure it'd be lots more fiery and bitter calling for his head now. There's no way a player could get away with that now. It'd be bulletin board material for years. That'd be like Dwight Howard DIRECTLY openly calling Kobe a rotten dick in an interview, while technically still ON the team.

Howard actually played for the team, told them all the right things, gave them a taste of the good life. Then they openly courted him again trying to schooze him, then he skipped out of town and left them worse off anyway. And within all that time Dwight wasnt even the good soldier. Yeah thats probably gonna result in hard feelings.

I actually thought LA would move on too more than this. That they'd be too absorbed in themselves to care. But I think the backlash now is telling in that for once LA fans dont feel the confidence that they can have a good product.

The LA hate is strong up here in Dallas too. Mavs fans texted me stating how BAD they want DH/Rockets to destroy the Lakers. Some even said they'd support us if/when they're out of contention. Strange bedfellows we make.

Tasting the tears of Lakers fans and witnessing the shame of a storied franchise in complete disarray has been a beautiful thing for certain.

But if you started watching basketball in the 90's, how do you not care about our rivalry with the Spurs? I know the Jazz and the Sonics were our worst enemies in the 90's. I was there. But what about when David Robinson stole Hakeem's MVP trophy and Hakeem proceeded to destroy them in the playoffs?

We had a pretty serious rivalry with the Spurs in the 90's. Dallas was irrelevant in the 90's for sure. But the Spurs rivalry was definitely there.

After shaq left, kobe with oidom and butler were struggling. He needed gasol to come and bail him out. Kobe needed gasol to teach him to be a champion

Yeah, was just there and read a post that said something along the lines that we're screwed for the future because we're "stuck with Chandler Parsons." The **** do they smoke?

Stupid hippies. They are seriously some of the most idiotic "fans" I've ever seen posting on the webs. Just pure ignorance with way below average IQ's. Very entertaining.

I hope everyone gets Laker tickets for home games at Toyota Center. Time to put these Lakers in their place. I'm trying to get some tickets behind the visiting bench...

Trust me I'm sure the T-Shirt fans are trading in their Laker gear for Rocket gear. I don't think we'll see an infestation like before.
