Rockets were in pursuit of him according to Feigen. Pelicans loading up on scoring guard types.
Why would someone take the vet minimum for a bad team when playoff caliber teams are after them? I don't get the logic? Unless he is fom New Orleans or something.
Good to see. It's good to see that in a draft where teams should be tanking...they are not. You have all these teams striving to get better, signing good players in a attempt to get better. Good to see, should make for a fun season and the Pelicans could be a playoff team this year if everything breaks out for them.
He got a player option 2nd year. Maybe HOU would not give it to him even though they gave it to Garcia.
What he was available? LOL we should have snapped him up, Morrow's really underrated, he'd be perfect as backup to Harden/3rd string guard on this team.
Would've liked to have seen us pursue Morrow a little more, however I trust Morey has a reason for not being more aggressive with him.
Yep, traded their pick for a proven player. I think for teams like them they realize tanking every year will just mean losing their own franchise player. Once you get a player like that (The Brow) you have a commitment to start building around that player and making him happy to play there.
Maybe he wants more playing time in order to get a better contract next year, and he expects to get more playing time with the Pelicans than with the Rockets. Or maybe he is just a biologist and would love to play for a team with a huge bird on their jersey. The player option might also be the reason he didn't sign with Houston.
What are the chances a 27 year old picks up a player option for the vet min anyways? Unless morey is only planning on using him if one of parsons, garcia, or harden get injured.
