You forgot the most important thing; $$$$. This forum has ads, right?....and connect it the view count. Now you understand why trolling is not only tolerated ( psssss, its encouraged ).
Wrong in so many levels. no 1, he wasn't brought in here is a 3pt specialist. And that was never his forte. And you want to change him into 3pt shooter in one training camp? 2. you are generalizing the whole season. First half, you are right, second half you are wrong. As a young player, I like his uptrend. 3. Bad defense? really, sounds like SAS. If you really break down the film, his defense is at least average.
Perhaps your own expectations? (expecting linsanity?) Even McHale the head coach said that kind of expectation would not be fair for Lin. So I guess last season Lin was just cruising while recuperating from his torn meniscus.
Linsanity in and of itself was the perfect storm for Jeremy. It masked his flaws given he was able to be so ball dominant with melo and stoudemire out and he was really able to control and dictate everything, as he likes , in MDAs system. Combine that with the media hype around an undrafted, unwanted, Asian American Harvard grad and the nyk media, they really built him up to be something that he couldn't really live up to. If you step back from that, yes he is probably a bit overpaid, has his flaws like any other youngster, but he is a young player with a high ceiling given his vision and things can really open up if he gets a consistent jumper. I'm a sucker for players with that X factor though.
Come on......never a good idea to hate a hard-working, unselfish and contributing player on one's team.
Congradz for finding your calling in Lin threads. But it'd be even better if you can change your trolling and hating ways. Then no more tragedy. Oh, BTW, sorry spamming your Eden.
maybe one day a perfect storm will happen for you, and you will develop logic + intellect. It masked your flaws given that you was able to be a dominant bully, with lin supporters out.
I said he was a young player with flaws with a big upside, particularly if he develops his jumper, but the media has inflated expectations of him to a level that is unfair. Are you kidding?
You don't watch basketball much outside of Lin do you? Howard has always greatly relied on 3 point sharp shooters....Why should now be any different?
A great point does not need to be great 3 point shooter see kidd, rondo etc they need to be a floor general first and make the team play its best as a whole. Harden needs to handle ball less defend better..let lin be the point
He is not a superstar, but he has been definitely bashed too much. Leave him alone, if he sucks , he will die of natural death.
Lin's contract is not inflated. That is a misconception that people keep vomiting out here continously. He earns the team more money than most of the other players on the team. The financials prove he is more than worth his salary and that's not even considering that les only paid 5 mil and not the 8.3 mil everyone harps about. Consider that Dragic made over 2 million more than Lin did last season. You can argue this point but it's debatable that Lin had a better season than Dragic. As for basketball, on the court , Morey said Lin contributed to more wins than anyone else on the team not named Harden or Asik. ANd that's considering he had a horrid start and improved every month after that. Everyone b****es about the playoffs but he had one bad game. That's it one bad game everybody had a bad game that day. He sucked but so did the whole team. After that he played better and then got injured. He was out and shouldn't have played again but he tried. Big mistake to play him. The kid was seriously injured. People b**** about the playoffs and how terrible he looked but Harden looked worst in more games healthy than lin did. It was the playoffs and Lin and Harden and company all had to adjust. We sucked that first but as a team they all played better and Lin did to for the first half of the second game and then he got injured. Everything after that was pointless to measure. he was out and should never have played another minute. Plus Lin is one of the most dedicated players on the roster and you can be sure he will improve this coming season. I expect to see better shooting both behind the arc and with pull up mid range shot. but even if he just plays a little smarter with a little less turnovers he will be better. The Rockets have some of the best contracts in the league. And the problem is some people want to compare Lin to those contracts. Just because Parsons and Bev are getting ripped off doesn't mean Lin's contract is bad. He earns Les much more money than he cost him. Next year when Les has to pay that 15 mil you might want to argue that point but now is not the case. He is a solid pg that I think will have a break out year and currently is underpaid.
