So called sports news networks have become merely gossip and opinion channels.

Melo will not win a ring unless he is carried by an elite big man, the kind of elite big man that does not currently exist in today's game (even Dwight is not good enough to carry Melo).

How Ironic it would be for the Rockets to steal another Lakers Prospect

Asik, Parsons, Lin (LMFAO) for Melo in a S&T

Remember Melo had interest in Houston, until Yao Ming Retire...

    Bev/Canaan
    Harden/Garcia
    Melo/Casspi
    Jones/D-Mo
    Howard/Smith

Great. We're turning into the Miami Heat minus Lebron thus minus championships.

Melo leaving the Knicks wouldn't be a shocker at all, because he's going to see that the Knicks are strapped big time with the cap and they aren't good enough to win a title.

So him going to LA very well may be a possibility. Him joining up with Kobe at the end of his career isn't going anywhere either.

Melo is not going to leave NY. Melo will never win a championship with his ball hogging style.

Heats win championship because their best players share the ball, which force others to share the ball. Until Melo starts to learn to share the ball, he will not win a championship.

Man, it's always about free agency with these guys.

And I like how they assume every superstar is jumping on the chance to rebuild the Lakers. Maybe if they were from there or grew up as Lakers fans, but for a guy like Melo (who made it clear a few years ago he wanted the East Coast)? Why would he go to the Lakers?

    Isn't 50/50 to these reporters

    rather HE GOES or STAY?

Is that their way of saying 50/50? Is one or the other

I don't remember SAS actually saying that. I remember him saying that the Lakers think they have more than a 50% chance to get Melo or Lebron.

SAS said that they both will opt out. He said that pretty definitely that they would explore their options. I"m not going to doubt the man, his sources are the actual players themselves.

    So wait —
Does that mean he has a 25% chance of joining the Lakers? Is that his math?

Kind of like, if you apply SPF 25 on top of SPF 50 sunscreen, do you end up with SPF 75, or SPF 37.5? Can Stephen A. work that out for me?

I said this last week. He's going to be a Laker. Remember that was his #1 choice before going to NY.

I think Melo stays in NY.

But if he leaves he might consider playing for the Clippers with Chris Paul and Blake. Doc would be a very good coach for Melo, IMO. That would be a very good team. By the way, the best team in LA will be the Clippers for the next 5 years anyway.

Or if Lebron stays in Miami, Melo could join Irving and perhaps Bynum (if he stays there and is healthy). That could be a new 'Big 3' in the East.

His wife calls the shots. She's been begging to be next to her idol Kim Kardashian.
