Phil Jackson is a funny funny guy isn't he? I'm here in So Cal and all these classless fans burning jerseys and calling in radio shows dissing Dwight and clowning the Rockets--- start the blame with LA. Blame Jim Buss for hiring then firing Mike Brown after a month THEN going after Mike D'Antoni instead of Phil. Blame Kobe and his "I secretly don't give a f_ck if Dwight stays or not BUT will go to this meeting anyway cause my employer told me to" attitude!! Blame the coach for sitting in on the meeting not saying a word the whole time (although I can't blame him on that/ Dwight made it clear he did not like Mike D)... LA IMO didn't show him the love like HOU, so classless fans in LA PLEASE.... Start the blame there.

All 4 of the other teams showed up with their stars/ past stars & HOF'ers but Kobe is just too cool for any of that noise

    Welcome to HOU Dwight!!!

The only reason that he is such a supporter of the Lakers is cause he is banging the owners sister. The man was asked to coach but he wanted to get get greedy. If he is such an LA fan he would of taken the coaching job in LA and Dwight would of stayed so he can blame himself, cause if he came back to coach and not demand being a part owner and giving all those ridiculous demands Dwight would of probably stayed. I am happy though he didn't become the coach cause it was one major thing that led Dwight to us.

So thanks Phil for being an arrogant pompous *******, and enjoy banging Jeanie Buss.

I love how in 48 hours the narrative has completely changed not only with the media, but with the entire Laker organization. It's gone from begging and billboards to Dwight is soft and has a poor work ethic, and we don't want/need him. So typical.

I thought his comments were really reasonable all the way around.

    1. Pau is better for Mr. Pringles' offense? Well, yes he is.
    2. Dwight is known for power and D but was injured this year. Why, yes and yes.

Astros shot was silly but funny. No harm.

You'd be butt hurt too if the first FA you actively and publicly campaigned to retain ended up spurning you for the team he refused to go to the previous year.

This is the first time the Lakers have been told that the "privilege" of donning the purple and gold is not good enough. The only reason why Lakers fans can have an irrational confidence that they will overcome NBA mediocrity is that players always seem to succumb to the dazzling lights, banners and history.

Dwight spurning the Lakers is bigger than LeBron's decision because for the first time the Los Angeles Lakers have come face to face with the reality of their mortality.

As long as Kobe is there, will any 2014 superstar FA sign with the Lakers? The Big three will not leave Miami for uncertainty, Carmelo will not walk away from his hometown Knicks, Dirk is Mav for life, TP and TD bleed black and silver, Pierce...

As Stephen A. Smith said, "This is no longer Dr. Jerry Buss' (RIP) Lakers" "Welcome to the era of Jim Buss"

Their bravado may still be around, but their confidence is shattered.

The core is ancient, their heart may never perform at an elite level again, and there is no savior on the horizon.

This is what fear looks like.

We had better start getting used to the hate. The rest of the league actually views us as a threat now, and when that's the case, you naturally amass haters.

    Dwight's response:

Hi Phil. Shouldn't you be back in Montana...painting your mailbox red?

    'tis your place.
