According to the NY Post article, Costas is only 22, has already won 2 Euroleague Championships, and is shooting a whopping 52% from the Euro 3-point line

i.e. Costas Papanikolou is the best player in the entire Euroleague right now. Bring him over here, Morey !!!

 

Spanoulis plays for Olympiakos, so he couldn't have blocked a teammate. That was Fernando San Emeterio, known here as the patron saint of basketball. :grin:

Bold statement coming from someone who has just read an article about Kostas Papanikolaou (that's how you spell his name btw) and never seen him play. Knee-jerk much?

6' 8.5 wingspan at 6' 7.5 height, has pretty good length.

 

I never see Euros that can block shots. With his shooting skill he could really help us.

He won't do either in a Rockets uniform this year, gumshoe. Or likely ever, but that's beside the point.

I miss this though - the days when we had a an actual good team and the biggest problem on the board was a bunch of clowns arguing that their favorite pet twink that they just got hot off the youtubes from the Balkan developmental hellhole league/regional work collective was the answer to all of our prayers and could probably be the next Magic Johnson, if only given a chance.

I can't remember him missing any Euroleague games in the last 2 years (since he basically started getting big minutes) with Olympiacos. I can recall a lower abdomen strain or something like that, but he missed no games because of it.

For anyone who liked that song, the whole soundtrack to Dead Presidents(Vol 1 & 2) is full of great 70s R&B & Soul like this. Highly recommended if you are starting to explore that genre.
