I am following Casspi since he was playing in the youth team of Maccabi Tel-Aviv. Later joined to the Kings as the 1st israeli ever to play in the NBA (one week ago another israeli Gal Mekel joined Dallas). So you can say i am Casspi fan. If you have questions, go ahead, i am here for you
I would use the existing thread and just post everything you know about him. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=241004
Okay tell me why his 3pt shooting has dropped off since leaving the kings where he shot 37%. We need him to shoot 37% percent and he certainly will get more open looks with Howard. D o you honestly think he can improve. If so why? Also do you think he is physical enough to play the 4, stretch 4 to be exact. Is he strong enough, is his defense good enough. How is his defense overall.
How is his lateral movement defensively? Can he guard a quality caliber forward? At least keep them out of the paint?
Five star thread. Didn't follow him that much at Sacramento. Do you see him more as a 3 or as a range-shooting 4? Does he normally defend the 3 spot or the 4 spot? His listed weight is only 225 lb. Is he strong enough to bang down in the post defensively? Thanks for offering to provide useful information!
Also on Casspi, is he a good passer? Especially the entry pass into the post. Is he a smart player? Understands team defensive concepts quickly?
I would like your opinion on why he has regressed since he joined the NBA. Oha, and how good is his defense?
Why was he buried in Cav's bench last year? How is his FT% now? What are his biggest strength and weakness? Thanks!
1st year Casspi was the best 3pt shooter while playing for the kings On the 2nd year he was playing less (rumors say something with the coach) 3rd year he was injured when playing for the CAVS and had bad stats on the 4th year he was the best 3pt shooter in the entire NBA until coach scott put him down to the bench when he had injured again and didnt see court since then. Yes, with LIN, HOWERD and HARDEN ... man! i am so excited, finally a team that match his skills, i believe you call it "run and gun" we call it in israel 'a bird' ...someone who is flying fast. No, he is no strong like other 4s (lebron, kobe, etc..) Defence- always the 3,4 player in rebound stats. he can take 2 and sometimes 10 reb. but in overall he is not great at defence. Casspi is a player that needs the team to be better, if the team runs, so do him.
Back on topic, you know I liked him the first two years he was in the league I remember him playing at sophomore all star game I think it was Phoenix don't remember exactly and I thought he had a nice 3 pt shot and was a good slasher seemed aggressive to me. Then he just disappeared I guess the Kings can do that to ya.
