Rockets have eye on Daniel "Boobie' Gibson (Per Amico)

    He's the thing:
    Gibson is hell of a 3pt shooter...as good as anybody current on our team...yes include Harden and even Delfino. The problem is he doesn't drive to the basket and draw much fouls
    On the other hands, Corey Brewer drive to the basketball relentlessly and go to the foul line. He's not a better shooter than Gibson but not bad.

    So with out bench of Asik, Beverley, Garcia, Jones, Omri, who's the one that going to create the offense?? I only see Beverley here that can drive to the basket. So it's better to have Corey? Another guy that attack the basket....or maybe we play Howard or Harden extra minutes past the 1st quarter and okay to insert Gibson. MY point is ...if you're just to play only spot up shooters, where is the offense going to come from? Especially if Howard and Harden sit.

    He is also a career .407 3pt shooter over 7 seasons. Last season at .340 (which is respectable) was by far his worst.

    Both Lin and Harden are great finishers at the rim. Do you really need another player that attacks the basket when you can put a career .407 3pt shooter on the arc ready to receive a the ball from Harden or JLin driving to the basket or from D12?

    Gibson averaged 25.5 points per game and 9.3 assists per game while leading Jones High School in Houston, Texas to a 31-4 record and the Texas Class 4A state title as a senior. It marked the school's first state championship since 1965. Gibson graduated sixth out of 212 students in his high school class, and was a member of the National Honor Society.

    Well i am talking about when these players have to sit for a breather (Lin, Harden, Howard). Where is the offense going to come from. None of them can create their own offense and attack the basket except Beverley.

    I would assume that Boobie would almost always play with either Harden or Lin. Both of those guys are great attacking the basket and drawing defenders.

    Isn't Boobie a PG though?

    We already have Canaan. I don't understand why the Rockets are trying to get Gibson.

    Why not go for Brooks? Fan favorite, and can also light it up.

    Where is Von Wafer? Last I've heard he was cut by the Celtics a year or so ago. Wouldn't mind having the mohawk back....

    Although I am not a fan of Casspi, he is an "into the mouth of the cannons" driver rather than a "sit back in the trees" sharpshooter.

    Always can use a shooter. Cavs just acquired Jack... Perhaps Boobie's not so key to them.

    Canaan would likely need time in the D League, Lin could play some 2 or it's depth in case of a mid-season deal
