You're underestimating the value of a CENTER in a league where quality at that position is key. A CENTER that is in the top 3 in rebounding. The key is VALUE.
Our team has the option to forego value for NEED. Our team is not a championship contender with Omer as the backup 5. Grab Anderson Lin/Beverly/Isaiah Can? Harden/Garcia Parsons/Caspi Anderson/Jones Howard/Smith Thats a Championship caliber lineup.
What I am saying is, the Rockets don't have to make any rash moves. And Morey has said this. No reason to "reach" for Anderson in moving Asik. I am telling you, Asik has more value. Morey is not just going to give him away in a move like this in my opinion.
If morey doesn't get Anderson then I can see him waiting at the trade deadline or next summer waiting for love... He is THE 4 Morey has been wanting.
Patience, not really your thing huh? LMA or Love might be possible with the right trade partners but Ryan Anderson dang sure wont get those kind of assets. Asik might tho. No rush, we can win with this roster right now as is.
I believe that we have a solid chance to land Anderson with Omer up for grabs. He was one of the top 5 defenders last season, right? That's hard for any team to pass up. Then again - Morey will probably sign someone we didn't even know was being shopped and blow us all away.
I'm not that hot on KLove. I don't think he's THE 4 Morey wants. KLove can rebound and shoot the 3...but he's not that great on defense. That is what I think our biggest hole is now...defense, esp. on the perimeter. We shoot the 3 and score just fine already...

An Anderson signing would adhere to my withdrawls. :grin: I absolutely won't disagree that Asik has more value, as you do make a good point about that. Take Anderson for cheaper, and allow yourself to sign Parsons down the road.
Speaking of Love, isn't Timberwolves planning the last run with him this upcoming season?? I can hardly see them trading Love with 2 years left. Orlando traded Howard with one year left. My reason is they trying to make the last post season run with him. Why are you so sure about this though? So is to LaMarcus
