Great idea. I think you should go apply a position to the great Knicks organization. They will love to have the same kind there.

maybe I havent seen this discussed, but would be a great spark plug and does not have to defer / change his game to better scorers. Only thing I can think of is if you want to be paying him that much to be a 6th man...

GS have renounced the right to Jack. I think he's now an unrestricted FA.

Yes they have. I was intrigued by this move last night. We should definitely entertain the idea of bringing Jack. Guy is definitely a baller and would pair with D12 perfectly. Morey needs to look at bringing him in quick before he signs elsewhere.

Beverley is a good 6th man. Why change things for no reason?

We need a guy with steel in his balls... Is Tony Montana available?

Lin still starts, just put him in charge when Harden is off.

If there was a way to do it, I would like to find a way to trade Lin and somehow sign Jack & Garcia. I really liked the defence and 3pt shooting Garcia showed against OKC last year in the playoffs. Not sure what impact the change in McHale's offence around Howard is going to have on Lin's game, but I don't think the way he was used last year maximized his strenghts and I'm betting that Jack would be a better fit for this team.

Morey has some tough decisions ahead of him. It is very tempting to keep the team as if unless you can get another TRUE superstar. If Asik plays off the bench and either TJones or DMo starts, you have your 6th men as Asik, Bev and Garcia if resigned with the room exception. That's not too shabby, especially since you would also have Anderson and the other of TJones and DMo off the bench as well. It makes our only weakness our starting PF position, unless either TJones or DMo has drastifcally improved.

I think it's going to be very hard for Morey not to give this team a chance if Garcia agrees to come at the room exception. The 48 minutes of rim protection from Howard/Asik is gonna be hard for Morey to give up unless he really gets the PF that he wants long term. At least I think he goes with it till the trade deadline before making any trades.

Every other scenario that I have seen to trade Lin or Asik in order to possibly get us above the cap to get the MLE, etc., may upgrade the PF position but either decreases a starting position or weakens the bench overall. But with Morey, you never know because he may have some strategy that non of us here has even thought of yet.

It's gonna be fun watching his moves over the next couple of weeks until he announces that we have the team that we will start the season with!

That would be the right thing to do, instead of trading Asik for Ryan Anderson.

This. And bring Garcia back as well since he wants to return.

Lin as 6th until he learns to become more efficient.

Call up D.J. Kennedy from the D-League. Sign Omri Casspi to the Vets minimum.

Agreed, he would be an awesome sixth man.
