It would be nice to see him back in a Rockets uni. I always loved his energy level and how he fit in when the Rockets ran the floor.

Only in America....do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poli' in Latin meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.

With Cato out for 6 weeks, this would be an excellent pick up.

We don't need no stinkin pig. We got Collier "Da Man". All kidding aside, Pig would be a great pick up. I always enjoyed watching him hustle more than anyone else we had on the floor. He reminds me of Moses Malone, only not as talented. He's not afraid to do the dirty work & he hustles all the time. I never understood why he didn't get more playing time than he did. He's the perfect team player.

You know which team could really use Pig's presence?

    The Lakers.

He'd be a great back up for Shaq.

    DREAMer -
Don't say that too loudly. They just might do it. Shaq is an amazing physical presence, but 40+ minutes a night takes a toll on anyone - no matter what kind of shape they're in.

I think Pig is valuable for a few 10 day contracts or until Cato is back for sure (detractors hold your tongues). Pig knows the Rockets system and players AND he can play a little PF too. Only downside is taking PT from Collier but it's still a long season.

IMO he's a good insurance policy and we have room on the IR.

You know you all are suggesting we should sign him for the remainder of the season at the minimum.

Why not sign him for the rest of the season? I'd keep him active until we get Cato back, then stash Pig on the IR if neccessary. I don't know anyone who thinks that Hakeem will play 82 games. If he goes down before we get Cato back, we're down to playing Collier for 48 minutes at center! (unless we want to go with 2 PFs). Pig comes cheap and he works his little curly-Q tail off.

The more I think about it, the more I think it would be a great idea to sign Miller.

He is the type of guy who does the dirty work. This would allow: Francis, Taylor, Anderson, and/or Mobley to do their thing while on the court.

The thing with Collier is that he's more of an offensive player. He gets open and hits baseline jumpers and whatnot. But, Pig can get in there and mix it up on the boards and be a big body in the paint.

I also agree that he'd be a great insurance policy if Dream's health fails. Who'd of thunk that we'd be needed another center because Cato went down and not Hakeem?

I am PRO-PIG. We need some beef in the middle who can knock down a 12 foot jumper. Since we can't find anybody who fits that description (except for the beefy part), I will settle for Pig. He plays within himself and does not make many mistakes. He would be a fine addition to our bench.

Why would we want Miller back ? Does he bring the Scoring that we need? Our rebounding is fair this year

It seems to me that the Rockets need rebounding, not scoring. At the very least, it would be nice to have a frontcourt player who would concentrate on rebounding. Pig is not a long term answer but considering our needs, he certainly could be a contributor.
