like all self-respecting rockets fans my least favorite player would have to be carl "with a k" malone, but this mark madsen chump is really starting to erk me. i dont even know what it is about him, but i just cannot stand him. anytime he does anything, like get a rebound or play defense he gets all excited and either yells or pumps his fist or jumps up in the air like a schoolgirl. act like youve been there before dude. and tonite, when he backed into cato and than tripped over himself. what an oaf! i dont know what it is, he is like that overly-excited and annoying dumb kid down the block that you werent really friends with but seemed to play with anyway. i dont know, am i alone on this one?
You forgot to mention, that he is exactly the type of player that we need. A role player who plays his ass off, doesn't mind doing the dirty work, and he knows his role. He also is a pretty good lowpost defender. If we had him, you would be praising him.
No....and yes... I can't stand the guy because of all his yelling and school girl-like stuff he does, but I love his hustle and emotion. I wish we had a guy on our team that had as much heart as him. You know when he goes out and plays 5 or 10 minutes, he leaves it all on the floor. I don't know if I could say that about anybody on our team...
Plus he has the uncanny ability to foul out the other team's star player by flopping...something we sorely need.
NEVER!!! i guess i can see how l.a. fans would like him, but he annoys the hell out of me. its the "hes got a face only a mother could love" syndrome. i hated barkley till he came to the rockets. i guess its the same deal w/ madsen. he does hustle and can play decent d, but his offense in absolutely offensive. did you see when shaq passed right to him under the basket and he couldnt even finish? he could only be a starter on a team where his competition is samaki walker and robert "wake me up when the post-season starts" horry.
i hate floppers like malone and madsen. i have absolutely no respect for those kind of shenanigans. just play the game like the well-compensated men that you are.
They are trying to win. I wish the Rockets would not "play the game" and show more desire to win at any cost.

i think i did hear walton say something about madsen is his "speacial freind" but madsen doesnt hustle, he just runs all the time cuz if he stands still he will loose his balance and fall on his butt. thats what really happened the last time the rox and lakers played. he just lost his balance around yao and the refs thought he was fouled cuz there is no way someone can just fall, but he did.
thanks yall, i was getting worried there for a moment. i also apologize for not including pippen in there. almost forgot. the thing is, malone and pippen are retiring soon and we need someone new to hate. all this war and stuff has got me in the hatin' mood and marky happens to be an easy target.
im all for giving it all, but i hate flopping. taking a charge in the nba takes some serious balls (especially if youve got shaq comming at you), but for a 250-300 pound pro athlete with muscles that have muscles to fall and slide across the court is totally whimpy. vlade is another good example of this. its so obvious to viewers, i cant stand that the refs continue to let people get away with it.

He had no physical talent, was a pain in the ass for other teams, and was our #1 cheerleader. Sounds like Madsen.
Seeing how the Jazz made us our b!tch for 5 years with their flopping... I'd rather beat the Jazz with "dirty" tactics than be their b!tch. The NBA is not a clean game. Watch the LPGA Tour if sportsmanship is what floats your boat.
