They traded Nerlens Noel for Jrue Holiday on draft day and they traded Robin Lopez to Portland yesterday or the day before.

You may want to go see the 2013 draft again.

Why is this the most active thread at the moment?

This trade aint happening! Not Asik for Anderson strait up.

    What is there to discuss?

You couldn't be more wrong. Smith shoots 47%, Anderson shoots 42%. Smith is far better at rebounding, blocks, speed, leaping ability, blocks, defense, Anderson is better at 3pt shot, ft%..... Smith is still a better prospect for this Rockets team and a lot of his past troubles will be cured by playing with a competent team and quality coaching. Smith>>>>Anderson

Lopez went to Portland and Nerlens Noel was traded to Philly in the Jrue Holiday trade.

You couldn't be farther from the truth. Anderson is the better fit for THIS team. I think Smith is a very good player, and he'd certainly be an electric player for Houston, especially defensively, but Anderson is the better fit. The way that he can space the floor with his offensive capabilities would take this team to another level. There would essentially be no way that you could double down on Dwight because, defensively, you would have to account for Anderson. Not to mention, it would open up the lanes for Harden to drive to the rack. Defensively though? Well now that's a different issue. Smith in a superior defender.

Anderson's close friends with Jeremy as well. But they'd get the better end of the deal for sure. I love Asik!!

NO. Rockets is smarter than y'all and will wait for Aldridge or Love. Anderson is a 1 trick pony. If its just 3 pointers, just tell DMO to only shoot. Or plug in Parsons @ 4. Losing Asik for a 3 pointer is just stupid.

Asik is a legit beast. AllStar worth type of impact player.

That's why none of you are GM's. Y'all would give up a beast bench, and as a Dwight replace in case of injury, and also, shutting down teams while Dwight rests, for a 3 point shooter 4 Rockets can easily acquire? hahaha

Pelicans thought they can outsmart Morey...hahahaha

That's incredibly narrow minded. Because Asik for Anderson straight up doesn't seem viable does not mean that a variation of that trade will not occur. New Orleans may well be willing to include a draft pick (or multiple picks) or a young player that makes the deal more enticing.

Besides, this board is largely about discussing possibilities. It is possible.

Noel and Lopez do not play for the Pelicans. Both have been traded already, or trades have been agreed to sending them elsewhere.

I'm curious as to what Morey will do. Better player (Smith) or the better fit (Anderson)

If you like Anderson then you should really love Ilyasova. I'd go to Milwaukee for Ilyasova using Lin as trade bait since they need a PG. Lin and TJones for Ilyasova and possible something else (Udoh has a nice $4 million expiring deal). Not saying I would do this trade but it would be better than giving Asik up for Udoh.

Asik should be sent to the Eastern Conference and for a lot more than Ryan Anderson. I suspect the Josh Smith deal has wings. If they can sign JSmith at around $12-13 million, then he becomes an asset. He could be flipped later on for more value.

Funny to read Pelicans would want more than Asik, when I'd want more than Anderson from them.

Josh Smith, the yearly almost-allstar, BLOWS. Y'all are getting to into the hype. Smith sucks. His stats are good cause he plays in the weak EAST.

Overrated, overpayed, ****ty free throw shooter to pair with Dwight? lol
Josh Smith is pretty much a Diet Dwight. Teams will be too excited for Hack-A-Rocket.

Morey isn't that stupid to pair the same dude. Its Dwight-and-a-half with Smith.

They will wait til 2014 free agency. Because they are smart.

I agree! He is a good 8-10 min playing time off the bench! It will be good pick. Besides Asiks final year will cost the Rockets $15 Million! Dumped him!

Nay, no to Anderson. We need a dynamic four and Josh would fit the bill better than Anderson. This is no #Orlando2.0
