Please don't sign and trade. Why trade Asik/Lin if you don't need to? (Unless we get J-Smoove, obviously)...Asik/Howard, we would ALWAYS have an ELITE interior defender on the court. And Lin is going to get much better...people forget he is a workaholic and wasn't really able to practice all last offseason...
For those people who doubted Doc Rocket (mostly people registered within the last few years), now do you understand? It's been a rollercoaster, but I haven't seen DR this confident about anything in years, and always felt Dwight was coming here. I suspect that the decision and a wink-wink with the FO was made a long time ago, probably via communication with the players. This has all been a smokescreen - by us.

Gary Lee @LakersNation 1 minute ago It's unofficially official. Dwight's leaving Lakers, and only team left that hasn't been notified is apparently HOU. Morey is coming home a hero, maybe he is home.
The Rockets need cap room to sign Canaan, the Greek kid, and a vet swingman. When a vet PG capable of starting can be had for 3M or less this free agency I think Lin is gone.
We should give the Lakers some picks? How about we give one of the most arrogant franchises in the Association the finger? Good luck in 2014, Kobe.
Daryl Morey is a legend in his own time. He created a plan to get the players needed to make Houston a contending team, and worked that plan to fruition. Morey is next season's GM of the Year, or there is no justice in the NBA! All hail Daryl Morey! (yeah, even you, Jack)
