    Wait, hold on.

He's not better than everyone else. Maybe better than every other center, but even at that it's not a huge margin from the second best center. He's not that much better at this point than Asik.

As for "everyone else", there are better superstars in other positions. You don't need a center to win a championship. This isn't the 90's. We can use that cap room for a future star, or just get a multitude of good players. Getting Dwight Howard is not the same as getting Lebron James. He lacks work ethic, he has a lukewarm attitude. You do not win championships with Dwight Howard. Are we okay with just having a good record and being eliminated from the conference finals?

all true....who was the last star center to be on a championship team? gotta go back to Shaq. Nowadays teams are winning with superstar wings and bigs who can bang and play D. Offense is a plus. For being in the league so long, Dwight should have a more refined post game.

Again give the dude time. Back injuries dont get better over night. Dude still scored more than any other Center in league, grab more rebounds and top 5 in blocks. Smh,,,a shell of his old self.

    Tired of this circus.
Come or not, Rockets still fun to watch.

If he is GSW then great. Just don't be Kobe's you know what.

Hey, he goes to GSW means he is indeed valuing winning more than $$

He will make much less at GSW.

Dissing Rockets? No offense but it is his decision or maybe his agent hates Rockets so much he rather his client make less. Who knows....

We should call this, "Thread for people who prioritize chemistry and mediocrity over success"

I had someone of a negative feeling about Howard, and thought perhaps his best days were in his past. I guess I was thinking since the Lakers didn't do so well with him, without really watching the Lakers, I thought maybe Howard's game is in decline.

Then I watched some of his highlights on YouTube from this past year with the Lakers, and I'm impressed.

I understand the sentiment for this thread, but I'm all for bringing Howard.

We'll be a legitimate contender for the WCF immediately.

also, for those who are saying howard's game is unpolished offensively, i agree. but i grew up watching hakeem. thats an unfair comparison.

howard can finish at the rim. he has a good offensive game, its just not a hall of fame offensive game. who knows, maybe he can continue to develop.

his pairing with Harden, and his defensive presence put us over the top.
not to mention he attracts others who will want to be a part of this.

think about how good our offense was last season.
next season it'll be better w howard. and our defense will be better too.
especially if we can keep asik.

Since when did the 90's need a great center? IIRC, the entire decade was dominated by MJ, who never even had a center on his roster =P.... Dwight Howard isn't even great, he's just the best there is in today's game. Still, 200>11000 and counting right?
