Houston still offers more money, has the better team, intangibles like dream and McHale and and x-factor Parsons, plus has the mobility to move a person like Smith using contracts from lin and asik. Houston big advantage.

Bottom line, Golden State has to do a ton of things to even be close and get this done on their end.

That's the thing... I just don't see that many teams willing to take on their toxic assets in trades without the Warriors having to give up Klay or Barnes or all of their future picks, which would be the youth that you'd want to be a contender for some time. Both Lee and Curry have sustained major injuries in their careers. I just think it's a bad choice for Dwight to get locked into a long term deal with that.

Some how if we can get a S&T with a third team to offload Asik, Lin and White. We could probably get Calderon, Jsmooth and Howard.

This would be better for Rockets then the GSW and probably get fillers from summer league

They have a bench already in place? I thought they were losing Landry and Jack.

Couldn't the Lakers just do a sign and trade for Asik and Lin. Asik can be flipped easily for a 1st rounder and Lin should be able to get a 2nd. That would easily free up enough to sign Smith. The Lakers get draft picks and next year have a ton of money. Blow it up like Morey did.

I don't know how serious this comment is, but I most definitely agree... He hasn't been healthy a full season yet has he?

Have you forgotten that Landry/Jack are both free agents and there's a good chance neither will return to the Warriors next season? At best, one of them will return, but no way both return.

He was mostly healthy last season. Probably the most regular season/playoff games he's played in a while.

There are 20+ million $reasons why Dwight wouldn't go anywhere besides Texas if he leaves the Lakers . Unless Miami is sign and trading him for Bosh or there is another potential contender in an state free of state income tax, Howard will be in Houston, Dallas or LA.

Curry/Klay bombing away. Howard/Lee dominating the interior. Yeah, that's probably the best combination out there for a Howard team. Lee was the only player to have more double/double than Howard last year. As for whether GSW can get it done, it will be tough. If Howard announces Friday like he said, then GSW won't have the pieces in place yet so he would have to trust them to get it done?

More and more, I'm thinking that if Howard goes with Houston, Lakers will try to do SnT to get Asik/Lin. Houston would do it to free up cap for Smith. Asik is a solid interior player to go with Pau. Lin had good chemistry with D'Antoni. And Nash was supposed to mentor him in NY so that will come to pass. Yeah, I think Lakers should hold onto Pau especially if Kobe is coming back. If they get rid of Pau, they might as well as start rebuilding so dumping Kobe would be logical.

If the GD Mavs can't get rid of Shawn Marion's $9million contract to clear *their* capspace, how the F*** can the Warriors dump these three *horrible* contracts now? Also, why wait until the last minute? This is a scam.

Dwight to GSW would be the worst possible thing to happen.

I bet Mark Jackson charmed Dwight's socks off, that guy could probably sale milk to a cow. Let me see, a young rising coach, a leader of men, and also a better coach than the isoing Mchale. Probably would suit Dwight best as a man learning from him rather than just Mchale trying to teach him a few moves. From a coach's point of view we're beat but team wise were the better pick. Curry their best player is limited because of his health, those ankles are troubling. Our best player Harden is just hitting his stride and could be declared MVP in a league without Durant or Lebron. If I remember well Curry didn't even make the all-star team this year. The warriors won't have to gut their team but will have to give up some valuable pieces whether its klay or barnes with Bogut/picks. The Roxs are already aligned to take on dwight then become even better upgrading through our assets while piling on future picks. This shouldn't be too difficult if Dwight is serious about winning championships because we're stacked with better chips and ready while Golden state is losing chips in scramble mode. Dwight someone seems to be adding while the other is subtracting.

Espn is all over the map. Howard has the star power they crave but with no drama. He really only has one good option, the rockets. Espn is doing anything to make drama and this is the best they have. Lol

    Dallas would still be worse.
