For cheaper alternative try the Kellogs Special K meal replacement protein bars. They're half the price and taste great.

They have 10g, not bad. In my experience the bars with the best nutrition (highest protein, low sugar) taste pretty bad.

They're delicious IMO. I hope you bough vanilla almond crunch as one of the flavors....that's my favorite. Anyways, like all things just don't go overboard with them and use these as a "treat"/cheat alternative when you're craving sugar or dessert. These bars are low sugar and relatively low carb, have fiber and pack 20grams of protein per serving but they do have 200 calories per bar so be careful.

90% of those bars are candy with crappy protein.

A chocolate chip cliff bar generally has very little nutritional value. I consider it just another form of a candy bar except with better form of sugar in it.

You need to taper your sweet addiction gradually. If you eat a piece of cake everyday or donut or whatever switch instead to something sweet but with less sugar like a Rice Krispy Treat. Then from there maybe taper down to some sort of dry fruit. Don't go from eating cheese cake everyday to quitting sugar cold turkey. You'll feel miserable with withdrawal symptoms.

+1. Realize that sugar is a drug. You can't quit processed foods cold turkey. It's too much of a change psychologically.

Generally good advice here but I would say start exercising as soon as you can. Physical exercise is about more than just losing weight but also will improve both your overall physical and mental health. As I said earlier though don't overdo it but start out gradually. You can start out just walking around your block a few times each day. From there start working towards walking a mile and then jogging a mile.

Havent had a soda in 3 days. I did have a redbull sugar free and a monster sugar and carb free the last couple of days. Making progress on my 3-4 sodas a day from pre-diet.
