As I said in my subsequent posts -- LAL's next move would be to try to move Pau for free (say to us for virtually nothing or 1 young asset), or amnesty him. Tank the yr and try to win the 2014 draft while attracting FAs. Pau's gone in 2014 anyways. Amnesty Pau and getting Barnes + Bogut = they pay LESS luxury taxes in that scenario than if they just keep Pau now and not do this hypothetical deal...and either way they only pay like $8M in taxes.
Howard knows this franchise can make moves. Weren't appealing last year, but then they go out and get Harden and show they can make moves. As doc rocket would say, he's coMING.
I agree but Asik is still an extremely valuable piece that could swing a deal on his own. He's young, cheap, and averages a double double. If Portland were to begin rebuilding then Asik is a perfect piece to add to the equation. A few other decent pieces may be Jones/D-Mo. I just feel like there may be possibilities that don't require giving up Chandler.

idk this doesn't really feel like he's begging to me. Feels more like morey being more sarcastic than anything. He would look foolish if after all of this, the meeting, the hoopla, and even posting a cute video from his daughter, dwight didn't sign with us. I feel like it has to be done. It has to be happening.
I would've expected him to say nothing if he actually did know something..but the fact he posted that tweet/video shows he doesn't know anything..
