The more I read about this GSW stuff, the more it makes me confident that they are NOT a legit threat. Point blank, they can't unload those contracts, which they have been shopping for awhile now. Dwight would have to take a HUGE haircut in the form of California's "millionaire tax", without getting the benefit of the higher raises and the optioned 5th year. Doing a straight up SnT with the Lakers DOES NOT WORK unless: a) Dwight wants to be at GSW b) GSW can unload sufficient contracts to be under the apron POST TRADE c) Lakers are willing to do a SnT. Just one of those is a major feet. Accomplishing all is next to impossible. I understand that things in this business can change quickly, but when someone as big as Dwight is involved, every avenue is explored beforehand. Neither the Rockets, GSW, Lakers, Dallas, or ATL had anything to present in these meeting that wasn't already known or understood. At the end of the day, Houston presents the clearest path to championships for Dwight. That has not changed in the last several months.

That's a good question. Can someone tell me what the luxury tax would be if the Lakers traded for Jefferson, Biedrins, and Bogut for 2014-2015? If the Luxury tax was small enough like 60 Mil, I think that the Lakers would do the deal
