Definitely Lin is overpaid for basketball reasons. Imagine paying Lin 14 million dollars on the last year of Lin's contract. That's going to sting on the Rockets payroll.

For Tyreke. This is somewhat overpaid. The Pelicans are going to risk that amount on his physical talent. Hopefully He will live up to that money.

Lolwut? Lins contract is 8M per year.King did the right move letting him walk, Evan should only be making 5-7m the way he played.

My theory on what the Hornets were doing was wrong:

    Marc Stein ‏@ESPNSteinLine 10m
Sources say Pelicans, already hot for Evans, were all in when Reke told them he'd be willing to be sixth man in New Orleans if necessary

Jrue Holiday-Eric Gordon-Tyreke Evans is NOLA's new backcourt trio. Doesn't mean Gordon stays forever but that's Pelicans' current plan

New Orleans... oh boy. Do they realize this is the NBA and not fantasy basketball?

I said this yesterday but I think it's a good move and the GM didn't have to look desperate to sign Tyreke.

A starting five of Jrue, Gordon, Blank, Anthony Davis and Whitey/J.Smith with Ryan Anderson and Tyreke off the bench will get a team to the playoffs. You guys have to watch more basketball.

We have. Tyreke is a cancer and a loser. Eric Gordon is always hurt, kind of becoming a chucker as well. Jrue is just really overrated. If this team does anything it'll be because Davis emerged as a top line player. Otherwise this team is just a ticking time bomb of overpaid players.

Jrue feasted on bad eastern conference teams and won't look near as good in the West. He's not a huge upgrade over Vasquez. Tyreke, Davis, and whoever they toss out there at SF won't space the floor. Gordon's never healthy. It's a very flawed team at best. Davis improving could get the team to the playoffs but he's gonna be gone in a few years if they keep up this level of decisionmaking.

Gordon was actually healthy last year but the coach forced him to sit out game. Vasquez played no defense at all and Jrue does and is also more athletic. You guys at like J.Lin was an awesome move. I would take Jrue and Tyreke over Josh smith. Watch more hoops, not just highlights

Jrue plays better defense than Vasquez, sure. He's an above average point guard, but not worth a pick in one of the best drafts in awhile. He won't take your team to the playoffs (he couldn't even do it in east -- why would it work in the west). Tyreke...he doesn't play good defense, he doesn't shoot, and he doesn't get to the line. He can score a little bit, but not as part of a functioning NBA offense.

Gordon sat out every single back to back game last year and missed additional games as well. How healthy is that?

Why did the Pelicans have to send Vasquez for Evans? Were they out of cap room to sign Evans outright?
