I still believe Howard will be a Rocket next season. However, in the 1% chance that he is not, it could be a blessing in disguise. It could set us up to make a move on LMA instead.

I can't believe Howard would take that kind of pay cut just to play with Curry. This has to be smoke from Lakes/warriors. If dwight goes to us they get nothing.

This is literally no different than what the Rockets did when they got rid of Robinson, delfino, and Garcia. Not sure why everybody is freaking out. Golden State needs cap space to sign Dwight, and they're trying to get it. Nothing unexpected. I do think they're the biggest threat. They're the only other team with the talent in place for Dwight to succeed immediately. We'll see.
Rockets barber who cuts mostly Rockets players and rappers. That was yesterday. No idea if he really did meet with Dwight's people today.
I've only seen Heisler as a guest on TYT Sports on YouTube. I'm not familiar with his writings but from that brief appearance, he struck me as a bit of a fanboy. I wouldnt take too seriously anything he writes.
Who is taking GS's garbage contracts while sending no salary back? What does GS have to make it worthwhile? Bogut is not worth $14M, Jefferson is not worth $11M, and Biedrens is not worth $9M. It's just not happening. If they wanted a serious shot at Dwight, they would have dumped those guys by now. Hell, even if Dwight weren't interested in GS, they would have dumped those guys by now just to save money and re-sign their own free agents.
Look, of course I'll be happy if the Rockets land Howard, but I've grown tired of it all. Howard has to know where he wants to be, right? Just get on with it, please. For once, make the decision that you want Dwight and own it.
Lakers need to pay TAX for any contract they receive. Will they pay $30M to $40M to get Howard on another team? I would say no.
The Lakers wouldn't receive any contracts. The players would be sent to other teams in a multi-team deal and picks would be sent to the Lakers. Dwight would go to Golden State.
This feels like when the lakers were trading for dwight and everyone was trying to explain why it wasnt really happening. time for me to move on
