    Actually... I think you are wrong about that. That is the luxury tax threshold for 2012-13, which was used as an early estimate for next season.

    As of June 3 the projected tax threshold for 2013-14 is $71.6M. That puts the tax apron at $75.6M, which is what I was originally saying.

    LOL, If any GM in the league had the chance to start a new franchise and could pick a rookie Kobe or Rookie Hakeem, 99% of them would take Hakeem even if they knew exactly what type of players they turn into, no doubt about it.

    Same. Kobe is one of, if not the toughest player in the NBA. I don't know anyone that plays through as many injuries as he does. Gotta respect his game for that.

    Lmao! Who want Bogut and Barnes Cap Hit plus Luxury Tax??? Those guys not going to win the Lakers any championship! Do you know how hard to shed salary? Lakers with Cap Space is Premium! You rather be mediocre and help someone in your division get fame and fortune? They rather let him walk capspace> bogut/ whom ever. Lakers can find 50 Barnes in freeagency.

    You haven't heard from Cyberx because I don't think there's any organization in the league that will just allow information to leak out to fans so easily. He was posting way too much for the Rockets taste. (Some of the head honchos ARE members here & he knows this)
