Why do studios insist on premiering their trailers on sh-tty ass Yahoo. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/M2QB44CV8Kg" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Such a weird movie. It could have been promising, but it just felt like two movie styles in one. It started off like "3:10 to Yuma" and ended like "Wild Wild West" mixed with "Dudley Do-Right".
This movie has looked like crap ever since the first trailer came out. Rotten tomatoes score does not surprise me.
It really is like Pirates of the Caribbean West. So by that measure it's better than all the POTC except the first. I enjoyed it. It was fun and Depp did his thing. But you could tell there were still elements from the first draft of the screenplay that Disney nixed due to budgetary issues. That element was werewolves. Yes, the original draft had werewolves. Good solid popcorn fun family film. Didn't assault my senses like Man of Steel or infuse hip hop into a period piece ala Gatsby. I hate that sh-t by the way.
22% on tomatometer, not very promising or convincing enough for me to get up and drive to the theater and buy a ticket for this movie.. Is there an independent theater around Houston that plays small indie films?
