I'm not mad that he makes that type of money. In fact, I'm all for guys getting as much as they can. The only reason i don't like his contract is because he plays on the team I root for and we could use that money much for effectively. I don't want Dragic back nor do I want Tyreke Evans. Not sure why you are bringing either of them up here as they don't have any relevance to our conversation. For the team we are hoping to assemble; there is no point paying a player like Lin 8 million a year. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
He's getting paid 5 mill this year and last year. Remember it's the so called poison pill contract where it jumps to 15 mill next year. Where do you think that 5 mill could go instead?? Rockets are way under the cap, it's not stopping them from going after anyone. He's the starting PG on one of the highest scoring offenses in the league. 5 mill is more than reasonable.
Where there's smoke there's fire. If you honestly believe that the rockets weren't shopping Lin then I don't know what to tell he. He was in California and not invited to the meeting. The China part of the marketing was handled by Yao (thankfully we still have a great relationship with him) over Skype. You just can't accept for whatever reason that Lin isn't part of this teams future plans.
It's still 8.3 against our salary cap much like it is next year. The 15 million only really comes into play because it comes out of the owners pocket. Personally, I only care about the cap hit because it isn't my money. We won't be way under the cap if we sign Dwight. I'll have to see how the team shapes up before I answer that but I don't think lin is worth 8 mil a year and I think most agree with that. If he was legitimately making 5 mil a year and had signed a 3 year deal for 15 million then you wouldn't hear anything out of me for the most part
Lins stats show nothing of Lins performance last season. how many times did Lin just sit on the bench all 4th quarter and Harden is out there padding out his stats. If it was just Lin on a crappy team hed get 25/12 every night. remember who the coach is and stats will be irrelevant, i mean at one point everyone thought PPat was a god lol.

No point getting angry king1 with his contract. Its just fate . Lin was traded to rockets iniataly to lead . And justly he deserve that contract if the season played out that way. Defintely the rockets would have struggled , but so far a lin run team has time and time again surpised and exceed expectations. Once harden came in rockets , lin's role changed and he looks expensive . Not the same with asik , asik is doing exactly when he wss brought to come and do.

Why is this such a big deal? Which of the D12 pitch teams had three current NBA players be part of the pitch? JH13 is obvious - CP25 probably went because he has a great relationship with Dwight texting, etc.
