The word on local MN Sports radio is that Kirilenko and Pecovic won't be here next year.

I know a lot of knocks on the perceived lack of defense but Adelman teams including the 2010 Rockets weren't that bad on D.

As far as the Martin signing there I am guessing there is more to this than just money and / or the chance to be on a contender. Martin was one of the players who did a tribute to Rick Adelman on his 1000th win and I get the feeling that he really likes playing for Adelman.

OKC is not going into Luxury Tax for Ridnour, so Wolves can keep throwing this rumor out there to raise value of Ridnour all they want, but he isn't going to OKC without compensation and/or another trade.

OKC has no need for Ridnour. Plus, if they get him, coach Bonehead will give him minutes that should go to RJ and Lamb. He shouldn't be given the option. Since PJ3 is such a soft sissy, they need a frontcourt reserve, not another guard.

Looks like OKC will get a trade exception for Martin, with Ridnour going to Milwaukee. (Apparently it's reunion time in the NBA.)

    Link

The Wolves today reached agreement with free-agent small forward Corey Brewer on a contract and with Milwaukee on a cap space-clearing trade that will send Luke Ridnour to the Bucks, two league sources said.

The deals won't be finalized until both players take physicals, like on Thursday.

The Wolves also are expected to execute a sign-and-trade with Oklahoma City for Kevin Martin to clear cap space needed to make room for Brewer's $5 million salary.

The Thunder would receive a $7 million trade exception for one year as part of their deal to sign and trade Martin to Minnesota.

Looks like Kevin Martin chose wisely. His natural habitat has always been on a Rick Adelman team. 30 efficient points tonight.

Martin is a bargain at 7 million a year. I wish we could get him for that much.

No way. He and Kevin McHale don't fit and butted heads. Martin is a Rick Adelman guy and works best with Rick Adelman. Doubt he would choose to come back to Houston and Houston probably has better use for $7M if they had that kind of salary room.

one dimensional scorer who is pretty good at that though....

Good 4th option on a very good team

2nd option on a mediocre team....
    Wish him the best

    A dig at Durant?

"This is such a fun team to play on," said Martin, who was 5 for 5 on 3-pointers. "Nobody is trying to lead the league in scoring here. Everybody has the big picture of getting to the playoffs."
