This gets a little greusome.... I was driving home from work yesterday and noticed an older model Ford Explorer pulling a fishing boat out of a dive bar parking lot. From the back of the truck I saw a black object flopping around all over the place. At first I assumed it was a black garbage bag that got caught up on the back of the boat. As I approached closer to the vehicle, I noticed that it was a DOG!!!! Poor thing was running his ass off trying to keep up with the truck. Pissed and fearing that this dog would be dead in a matter of minutes I flashed my brights and honked my horn. The dude finally stopped and I pulled up right behind him. Miraculously, the dog (looked like a shepard mix) was somewhat concious and had blood running down his paws but no signs of broken bones or anything too serious. The guy REEKED of booze and that only made me more pissed. Me: "What the hell are you doing?!?!" He says: "My God I forgot he was on that thing." unbelieveable............ I should have taken the dog myself because this dude obviously didnt have the brains to take him off the leash much less find his way to a vet. Hope the dog is ok..... Hope his owner learns some responsibility
I am not an animal lover, or a dog owner. I hate pets. But Man, that is terrible. Where is the icon for the jaw dropping.
What you should have done was gotten his tag number and called the police, if indeed he was drunk and driving.
I really want a dog. I think I will get one next year. I know I'm in college, but I might live in a house so It might be okay.
