He has been made an unrestricted free agent by Indiana and he did really well as a starter for them when David West was out injured. I think he might be a good addition to the Rockets.

we need a power forward after all

he did torch us in Indiana's win at Houston this season

in 8 games as starter he averaged 14.1ppg 10.8rpg 48 percent from the field

i think he would add a lot to the team

If Dwight signs, HOU won't have the $ to throw at him. And if we are talking a trade for a PF (with Lin or Asik) Josh Smith is better.

Not a bad player but doesn't fit the salary and roster situation.

This would be a good pick up if we could get him for cheap. He's looking to start and Rockets could give him that possibility.

He's scrappy, a good rebounder and an ok mid range shooter. He could stretch the floor for Howard if we could get him for cheap.

...if we had the space. Looks like we don't. But a sign and trade for one of our project PFs could be a possibility.

    hmmm..

if we don't get howard, i actually like psycho-T at the 4. can't have too many smart, un-athletic white players that can shoot and play dirty.

    what else am i missing?

in all seriousness, i think having him at the 4 would be cheaper than having smith, but provide about the same amount of production from a defensive and rebounding perspective. smith provides more offense but in the houston system, his offensive wouldn't fit all that well.

For the vet's minimum...? Yes. Anything more? No.

I'd rather stick with DMo, TJones, and Greg Smith.

I really really like Hansoborough's game. Crazy bruiser, high hustle-energy guy, good rebounder, decent midrange, good FT shooter, solid defense. These are all things the Rockets are sorely missing... He doesn't fit in though with the way the current Rockets team is constructed. They're tied up in Dmo and TJones.

I like Tyler's game because of the effort he plays with, but if he signed right now he'd be the least talented 4 on our roster, and we aren't strong at the 4 spot. In addition to that he's a terrible fit for what we do. Honestly if motie could play ANY DEFENSE and gain weight he'd be the perfect fit next to dwight...

Yeah wouldn't work salary wise but if we miss out on Howard then maybe. People can't say "we have jones and dmo", Tyler is better than those two. This upcoming season Tyler will definitely be the better player
