Morey tends to not say the truth about his plans if you notice. The only thing he has said that was the truth was finding a all star/superstar player.
He decided to not post it due to some inconsistencies in the pic he was going to post. He didn't want to have a witch hunt after him if said photo was faked or not. He just figured it wasn't worth it even if he put a disclaimer with it knowing the posters here.
The money isn't important to me fortunately, more about the learning experience (about to be a senior in college). I don't regret my decision for one minute.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Asked a rival Western Conf exec for his read on Dwight: "I think he stays!" Really, why? "I don’t think he has enough guts to leave."</p>— Dave McMenamin (@mcten) <a href="https://twitter.com/mcten/statuses/352079860891516929">July 2, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Even then, the news won't be anything less than positive from both sides. I just hope Dwight doesn't hold out on declaring his decision just for attention whoring's sake. If he decides sooner than Jul10, out of respect for the teams who courted him, he should let it be known so that we/they don't unnecessarily miss out on any potential bargains.
As Kobe said, he has to want to be there. If he resigns there because he's afraid to leave, then he's going to continue to be the half-asser he was last season, and forever more.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I hope the Miami big 3 inspire Dwight to make the right choice. Yuck.
Would Dwight really risk to be called a p***y when he shows he really doesn't want to be in LA but stays regardless?
That's the thing, it never came out his mouth that he doesn't want to be in LA. Just reports. He goes back, denies everything and looks like a hero.
I think if he stats in LA it won't be because he is afraid to leave. He learned his lesson from Orlando when he was afraid to leave and regretted it immediately. I doubt he would do that again. He still may stay, but it won't be for that reason.
JR needs to tweak his time machine to July 10th and post a dang twitter update on where Dwight goes...
Have any of them said the Rockets are the frontrunners based on what they hear from Dwight's people though? Seems like everything I've read that talks about the Rockets as the frontrunner cites things like "league sources" or "people with the Rockets." League sources feel the Rockets are the best fit and that's why they handicap it with us as the favorites.
Stein was on Mike and Mike this morning and he still thinks Howard leaves to Texas but doesn't know what team and gives Houston the slight edge..
