I'd probably trade anyone older than 30 or that has a history of injuries. But shouldn't this be in the nba draft forum? Or the nba dish?
Ok either this thread got moved or I was in the wrong forum and thought i was in the GARM. Anyways, ignore my comment lol
That jump-stop-to-plant-two-feet-to-dunk looks like an ACL waiting to happen. Unless the Rockets get him! Come to Houston, Mr. Wiggins!
Kyrie is cheap (2 years on a rookie contract), and Harden isn't (5 year max deal). If either of them do a Jay Williams, the team with Harden gets screwed more. Kyrie is also younger and has a more important role (PG). Harden is more durable. They are both great, but if I have to pick, I go with Kyrie.
Other than the nobrainers of LeBron and KD, I also left Harden and DRose off. Harden because I don't want the possibility of him being a bust and my team being the one who traded their star for him LOL. D Rose mainly because I want to believe he can come back from whatever it is that stopped him from playing the end of this last season. I'm sure D Rose would have been in the conversation of MVP again if he didn't get injured, so even though he's not on LBJ or KD level, he's pretty darn close in my books.
Kyrie will be getting a max deal soon so not sure what all that has to do with Harden/Kyrie being generational type players which is what the guy is talking about.
I posted earlier that besides LeBron and KD, Wiggins was the only other potential "generational" player besides Kyrie. The problem is if Kyrie can't stay healthy, forget it. But IF he stays healthy, Kyrie will be in the conversation right behind LeBron and KD. I realize most Rockets fans haven't seen him play much and know more about his injuries than his game. Hopefully the Cavs are on national TV next season.
Oh I get what you're saying. Kyrie can be special but I just didn't get why the guy brought up how much money they are making right now.
For Irving to be a generational player he is going to first have to surpass Paul, Rose and Westbrook's level. Which, if he's able to do, is a scary thought for the rest of the league.
Don't see how Kyrie can become a once in a generation player but Chris Paul isn't. I rate Paul higher than Irving and I don't think Irving can surpass Paul's prime. He's a great player, and is the best offensive PG in the NBA but I don't see his defensive impact or playmaking approaching Paul's level ever.
