CSN Houston has confirmed who will be part of the first Rockets contingent sent in the Dwight Howard recruitment process when free agency begins on Monday.

The group will include the following: CEO Tad Brown, GM Daryl Morey, Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler and Chandler Parsons.

James Harden will not be a part of this first group, but will speak to Howard on his own time.

Didn't CSN Houston also believe the whole "Howard in Houston" thing?

    That's what I thought.

This is good news. The brass go in to lay the groundwork and create a solid first impact. Harden will come in to play later, after he is wined and dined by all of the other suitors, to remind him Houston is where its at. Usually having the first and last impressions are the most powerful. Maybe this is the way, the Rockets can achieve both.

Because it would be pretty awkward if Lin were to be traded next week.

Looks like Harden is going to have the last word, not Kobe.

He's probably couldn't finish his scrapbook of all the strippers in Houston today. Come on Beard!

Actually, Cyber DID say "Rockets believe it's pretty much done". I think it was in a different thread and Reeko copied it for this thread.

Again, I'm not sure which thread it was in, but Cyber DID say that Rockets believe it's pretty much a done deal".

How are they going to get him? They would have to cut around 32m in salary, and Lakers would rather keep capspace instead of S&T for Bogut etc.

    No doubt.

I am excited after hearing what all is planned too. But, as fickle as Dwight is, and the way Fegan doesn't want him here still, I can hear someone in his crowd now : "Man, D... what does that tell you they feel about your offensive game? They're willing to get Dream and McHale to 'work' with you? Man, you're not some rookie or two year guy.... you're DWIGHT MF HOWARD, man!"

If being part of the "storied big man legacy" in L.A. was "pressure" for Dwight - I hope knowing the way Houston worships Dream won't be something that concerns him (him not being able to live up to expectations).

Just hoping this great presentation isn't "too much" and he feels comfortable with Cuban and Dirk... and sees himself as being potentially the best Maverick ever....

(ok, ok... maybe I'm being too much like coachbadlee... just paranoid at our recent disappointments...lol)
